They cabin was clean and comfortable. It did how ever lack in electrical receptacles making plugging in my sleep apnoea machine and cell phones for charging difficult. Good thing we were on a moose hunt and had brought an extension cord. The moose hunt itself was not as good as expected. After the camp took 7 for first week , 2nd week only killed 2. After 2 and a half days my hunting partner when to find out what was going on and if there was a more productive spot to hunt. Yves told us we were in a very productive spot and to be patient. He also said if we move we would give up our current spot for other customers who also wanted to move because of not seeing animals. We moved and spot number was no better. We say or heard no animals. Yves dod not come around at any point to check on how the groups were doing or how things were with our cabin or if we needed more gas for our boat. He was very busy closing down his camp for the season. There is a surcharge for assistance in retrieving your animal if your lucky enough to get one. Which was funny since all hunting is across the lake and the small boat were were given will not hold an atv. All in all the experience was very enjoyable as I was hunting with an enjoyable hunting partner and the scenery is breathtaking in the fall. Maybe Yves can work on a retrieval being included in the pricing and some checks on how the clients are doing would allow me to increase my rating. I don't wish to sound negative as being in the fishing charter buisness I know how hard it is to please everyone all the time. The camp is really nice and I am considering going back maybe in 4 years.

This was a dream trip for our family. Unfortunately it was a nightmare. The owner, Yves, actually cussed my husband out because he called the guide to ask a question about how our bears would be packaged. He literally screamed at him and told him to not call his guide (who had given us his phone number) and to get to the God d@#m office. When my husband got to the office Yves proceeded to scream and drop the f bomb about how rude my husband was for calling a guide especially after he had given us such a “good deal.” And as far the advertised “5 star accommodations,” get real! If you like stained mattresses and dirty facilities, then maybe. I wish I could upload a photo to show how bad it really is. There are so many other places in Canada to hunt and fish which are probably run by people who actually appreciate their customers!

Just got back from my first bear hunt at taggart bay lodge, it won’t be my last. The owner Yevs was fun to deal with and talk to. Our guide was very good and got us all on bear! The cabins were very nice. I can’t wait to go back!!

Great fishing, cabins are awesome and in the right weather and fishing hole we would fill up stringers all day. It did take a while to find the pickerel migration but once we did we were able to feast all week. The red squirrel cabin we stayed in was nice and secluded enough to feel like you're alone but close enough to civilization you don't need to worry about your rig getting stuck. Highly recommend Taggard Bay for a week of fishing with the boys!!

Worst hunt i've been on and I've been on several fully guided hunts in other parts of Canada. The owner failed to introduce himself or greet us upon arrival. When showing us our cabin, he said are you coming

Beautiful lakeside chalet was clean, comfortable, and fully functional for the family dinners amongst bass fishing and bear hunting. The decor was pleasant and welcoming with a beautiful lake view during meals from the kitchen tables as well as the deck view when grilling. We stayed in one of the newer chalets and loved it. Planning to return, hopefully with more family members to share the memories. During our bear hunt, our group of 5 hunters saw a total 13 bears at our hunt stands and 3 additional young bears and 2 young moose crossing the road returning from our hunt. Both my husband and I came home with a bear. It was definitely fun; all thanks to our hardworking hunt guide, Matthew, who was dedicated to making your hunt successful. This was my first hunt ever with just one, perfect shot once I choose my bear. I also enjoyed the bass fishing with every catch a bundle of excitement! Your hunt guide will be the one you have the most contact time with during your stay. Once your hunt is done your time is yours for relaxing by the lake, fishing, playing games with the family, and enjoying self prepared meals. There is a fish cleaning station by the lodge which was great to avoiding attracting unnecessary insects at the chalet. ThermaCells were perfect insect control on your walks through camp and on the hunt. We brought our bass boat which was great to have our own comfort with all our fishing gear within our reach. Next trip we will try walleye fishing as that was the buzz word but a trick to it which we must learn. No ATM nearby the camp. Bring your pillow.

First time up here over the Canada Day week. We stayed at the Outpost cabin. Cabin was great, everything what you needed was there. We loved the lodge so much, that we even booked again in September for a week at the main lodge this time.
