I like this business. I've spent over a thousand dollars here. The staff are helpful and friendly. The prices and products are excellent. Here's the problem:You can't see or touch what you're looking for. It's the curb side cop out. I've shopped on their website and ordered some really nice but way too strong/thick aluminum. I paid and accepted the material because I'm not the type to back out of an order. I'll use the material on other more worthy projects.My point is, I can't readily tell the difference between perforated sheet that is 0.094 HOLE ON 0.156" CENTRE STG x 0.063" and perforated sheet that is 0.125" HOLE ON 0.188" CENTRE STG x 0.063" without holding it in my hand.I'm not a time waster

First impressions are a lasting impression and I am a FAN! The response time on the multiple quotes was fast, order prep is fast, shipping is fast, delivery is fast and customer service is truly tops. The steel arrived well packaged and coated with cosmoline or something similar to prevent oxidation. Unbelievable, got blasted by one of the workers for going to the back door to ask about information about thickness of steel I need to order online. So Rude I went and spent $600 at Metal SuperMarkets instead. Never going there again. Perfect way to lose custumers.

Bought many odds and ends from Metal Pro's for home projects and is the only place I buy metal from now. Always great, fast service from emails to having your item ready for pickup. Super accommodating and a pleasantly easy and quick transaction. Highly recommend!

I have been a customer of Metal Pros (Old Sheffield Rd in Ottawa) since 2012. Back then I found the business to be welcoming and helpful. Mike and his team have made the operation even better over the years. Frequently, I just need a small piece of stock for the project I am working on. For a hobbiest like me it is extremely helpful to be able to pick through the odds and ends. That has not been possible with the pandemic safety measures but Shayne still found a practical way of selling me cutoff stock based on a range of parameters that I provided. Their quality of service makes this shop a busy operation. I have found the on-line quote system particularly helpful for cost estimating and the email confirmation clarifies what is being ordered. The single time there was an issue with my order (stainless square tubing that arrived bent from the supplier) Mike promptly acknowledged the situation and ordered replacements.
