I knew Mike for many years as an exemplary, knowledgeable and highly dedicated member of our Canadian Armed Forces. Learning after his retirement from the forces that he had started his business Heart of Green Tree Care, I didn't hesitate to contact him when I needed his expertise at my home with a couple of precariously situated trees. He came up, surveyed the situation and returned early the following day to do the job. His knowledge and professionalism shone through in this field as it did in his military career. I will HIGHLY recommend his services to anyone in need of tree services of any nature. Thank you Mike.

Today Heart of Green took down a big basswood tree and trimmed up another in my backyard. Mike and Adam worked very efficiently together completing the job quickly and neatly. These guys really care about the trees as well as the client. Their communications are clear and timely, they are friendly and pleasant and have superb work ethics. Mike and Sam were amazing. Not only did they quote me less than other businesses I spoke with. They were both so friendly, professional and fascinating to watch. They dropped two large trees in very tricky areas and they made it seem so graceful. They cleaned up the brush so well you wouldn't even have known there were trees down. I highly reccomend Heart of Green. In fact, I already did and my neighbours all want them to do work for them now too!

Mike recently attended at our property providing tree trimming & pruning . At our initial meeting it became very apparent Mike`s perspective was to maintain a healthy tree rather than simply remove it like so many of his competitors. Our basswood tree was trimmed on Dec 17/21. We wanted to keep the wood but Mike will remove it for you. He is just excellent! Reasonable rates, great job done and just a nice guy.

These really are the guys you want to have take down your tree. They are courteous and professional and also very approachable and pleasant. Watching them work, especially when up in the trees, you can tell that they are skilled and capable. What I especially liked was the careful approach they took with the surrounding trees in my forested lot; no damage to even the smaller saplings. Great team, lots of communication among them. Cleaned up afterward very effectively. Their prices are more than fair for the skill they bring to the job. I am so happy with the work they did! A pleasure dealing with folks who take pride in their work and are so competent.

My very large sugar maple tree (25-30 footer) fell over on my property during the storm along with several large branches around my property. I had called/emailed about 10 different aborists in Peterborough with little to no luck. Given the insane demand for their services from the recent storm, most places either told me to call back in 1-2 months or simply didn't response (100% understandable). Luckily I was able to find Mike at Heart of Green Tree Care. Not only did Mike respond to my email on the same day, he kindly accommodated my job by squeezing me into what I'm sure was an already hectic work schedule and the tree was gone within a few hours of my initial email. His pricing was absolutely 100% reasonable. After talking to my neighbors/friends, I realized price gouging was very common during this time. But with Mike, it is very clear that he operates his business with a very high degree of integrity, a rare thing nowadays. After the work was completed, I found a few large branches that were missed. Since I had already paid the invoice in full, I was worried that it would be hard to get them to come back to resolve the issue or they would be so busy it would take them weeks before they were able to do so. But the branches were blocking my shed so I sent Mike the email on Friday night. To my surprise by the time I started by day on Saturday morning, Mike had already stopped by my property and resolved the issue. His email said I wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight if i didn’t get it right for you". That goes to show the type of person you can expect to deal with when you use Heart of Green Tree Care. I 100% recommend Mike at Heart of Green Tree Care for all your tree care needs as they are now my "go to guy" for tree care."

These guys are amazing! It was so wonderful to come across someone who cared as much about my tree as I do!! I have a yellow birch that needed some care, and out of all the companies that I had called to get quotes on the work that needed doing, they were the only ones who were actually familiar with yellow birch trees and their specific needs. Mike & Adam did a fantastic job, taking care of the specific problem as well as some general tree maintenance that was required as well. They showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned everything up (in truth, my yard was neater after they left than before they arrived). They also took the time to let me know what they had done and what to expect going forward - all for an extremely reasonable rate. I would wholeheartedly recommend Heart of Green Tree Care without hesitation!!
