Douglas and sons concrete LLC

Douglas and Sons just completed clean-up of our concrete job. It was a front entry and a back door pad and sidewalk. James is a real gentleman and gave a reasonable bid. Though the project ended up costing him more for concrete than he anticipated he did not require us to pay any up-charge. We are very happy with the workmanship and finished product and would recommend James highly.

James did an outstanding job on our project. We had a huge patio poured that tied into a dog run with a catch drain system. He also poured a circular retaining wall around our trampoline as well. This was a big job and my wife and I were very particular on the details. The project turned out just like we had hoped.James came out (on time) to give us a bid and explored all the options we had. We figured out what worked with our budget and he helped us make it happen. I could tell he really wanted to make sure we were happy with our patio.When the project was getting completed James was on site all day making sure it all went well. He made sure he was the last one to leave and the site was tied up.The work was exceptional, James and his crew were all craftsman. We went with a dark dyed concrete with a lite broom finish and a detail around the edges. We were beyond pleased with the outcome.He finished on time and on budget. James and his crew also treated my family and my property with respect. If you need concrete work done, you can’t go wrong here.

James was very prompt when it came to his initial estimate. We had contacted 5 other concrete contractors which ranged from no phone call back, to no bid after driving out for an estimate, to double the estimate that James had given us! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - I e-mailed Douglas and Sons twice to find out the process to get an estimate for a patio and they never responded to my e-mails. I called them on a Tuesday, spoke with James and we set a tentative appointment for Friday. James asked me to call him on Thursday to confirm. On Thursday I called and spoke with James again and he told me he would call me or text me later in the day with the appointment time. Never got a call or text on Thursday and called him on Friday at 10:30 to find out what happened. James began discussing issues with his car that prevented him from texting me and I just told him I would take my business elsewhere. James then sent me the following text People like yourself truly baffle me. I was trying to explain why I didn't text you about when I could come by. Seriously your not even doing the work for 6-12 months. I hope one day karma comes to with nothing but amazing things. Good luck finding a contractor who will work for you! And maybe not yelling at the contractor would make someone actually want to give you an estimate. Have a fabulous day" My response to his test was simply "So you do know how to send a text" I found it interesting that James could not find 15 second to text me that he could not meet me on Friday as planned but found the time to send me that text. My only though is if this is the way Douglas and Sons treats potential customers

They did a great job on three patios for me. They were very attentive to detail, great price and completed ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend them. We had a minor miscommunication on one of the patio sizes, as it wasn't stated in the bid, but James made it right. Thanks!!

James and his employees completed some concrete work in our back yard a month or so ago. All I can say is wow! He completed the work early and did a magnificent job for us. In fact, we have invited him back to do some additional work. He and his employees are professional and courteous. I would highly recommend his services to anyone contemplating concrete work to be done. He is very busy and with the quality of his workmanship, I can see why. After I literally just replaced a window in my other car this week, it's frustrating to see trailers full of stuff that'll break yet another window...all while this guy has a cover that he's not using. WA state law says cover your load, truck beds AND trailers.

My husband and I recently wanted to add a patio to our backyard to replace the swamp our grass has turned into. We called Douglas and Sons and got a much better estimate than all the other companies we contacted. Then when the day came to get started, they made sure we were getting the exact patio that we wanted. The workers were nice and courteous, and they finished very fast and efficiently. They did not cut corners or leave the project looking anything but perfect. They also cleaned up after themselves amazingly, to the point you can't even tell there was a big project going on. Both my husband and I are so thrilled with how they did our project that we will definitely be calling them for our next one!
