Cineplex Cinemas Ancaster

I don't love Cineplex to begin with because I find the seats are really small for no reason. Landmark has better seats by a landslide. Lol. This particular theater isn't exactly bad. The staff are all wonderful and they do their best. More so cineplex as a whole.For example, I recently went to watch a man called Otto. I've never read the book or seen any related movies about it and the trailer had very minimal warning if any at all about the content of the movie.The movie theater did not have any warnings on the poster, the website, the ticket booth, before the film began or outside of the theater itself to indicate the content of the movie. I'm very disappointed that there was no warning that the film contained strong themes of suicide. It's very inappropriate not to have a warning on that type of content because there are people are affected by viewing that and the movie is basically 100% about that so I don't really appreciate Cineplex on that one.I called to request, politely I might add, that they log a complaint and add a warning for future films but I've not received a response from Cineplex on that.The only reason I even say this at all is because I know people and I was one of those people who would have been greatly affected by the film's content and nowhere is there any indication of what it's about to prevent traumatic feelings for those at risk or knew someone at risk.

Besides the fact they sold me 4 designated seat tickets and then 10 minutes later 5 other people came im and had been sold the exact same seat tickets .. food is completely insane pricing .. and no nachos .. the girl at the food counter could not have cared any less that there was an issue with the seating ... wasn't the best experience for the first day of kids summer holidays thats fir sure and I was annoyed at the lack of customer service with the seating !

Amazing movie theater. Recently saw the Super Mario Bros. Movie, and the speakers were hight quality and immersive. The seats were comftrable, and the projection was crisp and high defintition. Sadly it was passover when i went, so i wasnt able to buy snacks. But i can say from previous trips, the snacks were reasonably priced, and were also good taste and quality. J forgot my phone, so there are no pictures, but i can assure you that the atmosphere is clean, and looks brand new. The arcade is large, and has an assortment of games to choose from in all categlries. 10/10 wpuld reccommend.1

Great location and overall a good time. Location used to be considered high end, but it has been a while since the building has been updated, and newer theaters are offering more comfortable seats/experiences. This is a solid choice for your average movie trip, and IMAX screen in particular is impressive. The seats are a bit stiff though for longer movies, and the main area with food and entertainment feels a bit lacking.

I went for Avatar 3D, it started with 10-15 min delay because of the advertisements. Seat was not very comfortable compared to the Landmark cinemas. But my overall experience was good.

This is actually a 0 star but I didn’t have the option.When speaking with the manager Roy o about an issue we had with a machine taking our money without giving us what we paid for…and all he could say for himself was after he got frustrated was “why are you looking at me like that?” Very childish and lacking of any service skills. All of the staff are a reflection of the awful management. Poor leadership and in need of new staff, I will not be back and neither will any of my friends if that thumb with a moustache is still employed.

I prefer Tuesdays because of Cineplex special prices. My kids and I watched The Little Mermaid after school. Of course, my kids wanted the popcorn which they said was yummy. Friendly staff and good seating. Definitely going again!
