The service at Alex Farm Cheese on the Danforth is terrible. I have never been greeted when I walk in — No one even looks up to acknowledge customers. God help you if you go in without knowing exactly what cheese you’d like. The staff is curt and condescending and act like they are doing you a favour by answering questions about their products. Also, very overpriced. As much as I’d like to support a local business, I will not shop here again. I recommend shopping at GOOD CHEESE on Gerard, where they are always kind and helpful.

The staff member that helped us was not nice nor helpful at all. He looked like he hated working there, and was in a rush to get us out of the store. It will be hard for me to walk in again there after this terrible first visit. The place itself is amazing and has great products. Great potential but bad service...

Lovely experience. The selection of cheese is unbelievable. Dakota was super helpful, he let us try a couple of different cheeses and even suggested some accompaniments for all my purchases. We spent quite a sum on some heavenly cheeses, though I suspect that had to do with quantity vs value. We also left our olives behind :( but Dakota chased after us to ensure we didnt have to make a return trip. Thank you!

I always come here for my cheese fix. Helpful staff, and a fantastic selection. This is premium stuff, so be aware of the price so you don't have a shock at the register. They're happy to let you sample a few things. I always ask them to recommend something to try.

This is my favorite cheese shop in Toronto, because they actually have a wide variety of cheeses, unlike some really swish specialty shops that seem more interested in selling accessories, gift sets, and having a high end experience. This place is old school and it shows. The staff is friendly without being obsequious, and will walk you through a bunch of choices until you hit on the cheese that suits you best. The goat cheddar is amazing. Their family-plot olive oil is outstanding, get that and some good balsamic and soak it up with a nice baguette to go with the amazing cheese. Just go.

A nice selection of imported cheeses to choose from. I bought some from Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. The shop clerk gave me a taste of the Beemster XtraOld from Netherlands and it was so good! Convenient location. I will definitely return for the cheese!

I've gone past this place so many times but my cheese addiction took over and I decided to go in. Wow, what an amazing experience!! So many cheeses, was greeted the second I walked in. I was so overwhelmed with all of the options. The gentleman that helped me gave me several options to try. I have a new found love for red wine Bellavitano Cheese! Place is very clean, reasonably priced and amazing staff. Definitely worth it! Thank you!!! **Bonus it was wheelchair accessible so I can bring my aunt with me next time! **

I've always had good experiences here. The selection is vast but usually consistent. They're OVERLY generous with the samples- to me that says they are very proud of their product. I've always found them to be very kind. In fact once I forgot something, put in my headphones and walked away, and they came chasing down the street for me! Caught up to me like 2 blocks down Danforth. That's a lot of effort! To the people who think they are rude, maybe it's because English isn't the guy's first language and it might be lost in transalation? I dunno. They've always been nice to me.
