Cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff is always very kind and informative. They make sure to consistently call and check on your pet post surgery to make sure everything is going well. They are very accommodating if you need anything. Dr.Meadows is very compassionate and caring with the animals, you can tell he actually cares about them and takes pride in his work. He even takes the time to check up on his own time. I LOVE this place, wouldn't take my pets anywhere else in an emergency! <3

Twice now we have gotten immediate, kind, helpful service from Dr. Meadows in a time of need. I can’t say thank you enough for his dedication to putting the needs of so many animals first. He goes above and beyond, it’s truly unbelievable.

We took our dog to Dr. Meadow for the first time to be neutered an I have to say, he did an amazing job with our dog an he was great. Everyone made our dog feel welcome an relaxed an comfortable as well. They all did an amazing job with our dog. I definitely recommend Dr. Meadows to anyone who needs a vet to have their pet spaded or neutered to go to him.

Dr Meadows is the type of veterinarian that I thought did not exist anymore. He truly puts your pet, and your own wallet, ahead of his own. After a miserable experience at North River Animal Hospital, Dr Meadows did a VERY thorough exam on my cat, and took the time to really look into what may be going on. We are working through a few possibilities now, but he did not give up on my cat after two tests like North River did. In a world of vets where they gate keep access to the doctor and ask for deposits up front, Animal Hospital of Lakeport has a totally different approach focused on care and a thorough explanation of the tests done, and your options.

Dr. Meadows and his staff took care of our puppy's broken leg and treated her as if she were their own. We were very impressed with his orthopedic expertise and would recommend him for any of your veterinary needs. Very reasonably priced for expert care! He even took the time to personally review her X-rays and best options during the Covid shutdown. I'd give them 6 stars if I could! Thank you for everything -- she's back to her normal puppiness and doing great! Update: this puppy has gone on to a 4th at the Belgian Sheepdog Nationals . You would never know she had such a serious injury! Thank you Dr. Meadows.

Can you tip your veterinarian? Because Dr. Meadows and his staff are amazing. There's a reason this office has damn near a 5 star rating. If it means anything to someone reading this, I drove 2.5 hours to have this vet do surgery on my German Shepherd. I plan to continue making that trip for all follow ups and any other issues my pets may have in their lifetime.To be short and sweet, Dr. Meadows clearly loves what he does because I swear this man would probably do it for free if he didn't have bills. To say he's fair with prices is an understatement. He was generous in my case.Long version: my dog was hit by a car late on a Friday. Unfortunately the only place I could take him was the ER in Williamson. I was not impressed with them, they didn't do a full exam and completely missed his broken femur until the attempted to discharge him.Over the weekend I called around trying to find a surgeon for Monday. I kept getting recommendations for Blue Pearl (has terrible reviews) and Flint Surgical Center ($5000+ quote). It wasn't until Monday morning that someone in Owosso highly recommended Meadows. I called them and had a drop off appointment at 4pm Tuesday with surgery on Wednesday morning.Upon drop off, Dr Meadows explained that his staff and himself would get my dog screened that evening so surgery could happen promptly the next morning. He mentioned doing his best to abide by his quote but with some additional requests of mine, it may be a bit more. Considering his quote was less than half of Flint, I was ready to pay him double. He also mentioned that in some circumstances, payment plans may be offered.I was astonished when I began receiving updates directly from the doctor that evening! That man was working until 9-10pm on Tuesday and Wednesday to ensure my dog was well taken care of.Last thing I'll say is that I'm happy with the work, time, and care of my pet. Aftercare was thoroughly explained, medications dispensed, and doctor is just a phone call away if I have questions.
