Garden of Italy is a hidden gem for the HALAL community. I am so glad to have discovered it. No other place in Calgary offers Italian halal cuisine. The food is always so delicious. I have tried both dine-in & takeaway and the quality is always the same! I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you haven’t tried, it do it now!

Great selection of Halal options. Nice to know that they cook all halal food in separate pans and pots to avoid cross contamination. Everything we’ve ordered were excellent, service was very good as well. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommended!

The menu is limited with few options for those looking for a nutritionally balanced meal. The items we ordered were of really good quality but unless you’re ordering a pizza or pasta (which are obviously the western Italian normalcy, the portions are quite small. The atmosphere was similar to a diner and the waiting staff were very pleasant. The #1 reason as to why I’m leaving a review is regarding the complimentary bun that every entre comes with. I barely contained my humorous shock while noticing this bun served on a plate of its very own was indeed just a microwaved hot dog bun they likely picked up from the nearby Safeway. I’m certain the waiter heard me and I really did not intend for it to sound or look disrespectful.

I first ate here like 6 months ago, and it was truly a memorable experience. Ever since then I came here pretty often, with my friends too sometimes and they absolutely loved it tooFrom the moment I walked in the door, the staff at Garden of Italy made me feel incredibly welcome. The customer service was exceptional - attentive and friendly without ever feeling intrusive. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu and made some great suggestions!And the food! It was absolutely outstanding. From the perfectly cooked pasta to the mouth-watering sauces, every dish was a true masterpiece. I particularly enjoyed the Fettuccine with creamy garlic prawns, which was unlike anything I've had before.The ambiance of the restaurant was also worth mentioning. The decor was elegant and tasteful, and it created a wonderful atmosphere for my meal.All in all, my experience at Garden of Italy was top-notch. The customer service was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an outstanding Italian dining experience.

I think this is the only Italian restaurant in Calgary with halal options. The restaurant cooks the halal food in different pots/pans than the rest of the menu to avoid cross contamination — very considerate!I ordered the baked lasagna which was very delicious and a friend had ordered veal Parmesan. The friend had mentioned that her veal was tough and chewy, but I had no complaints of my lasagna. The orders came with complimentary bread and butter — which is just ok , not amazing but not badAtmosphere/decor is nicer than most restaurants in NE and it feels like you’re in a small, cosy family owned restaurant. Would come back again

Food is delicious. (Especially the grand Marnier dish... the sauce is to die for)Appetizers were good. A little small but still tasty. The service was wonderful. Our server was very attentive. The prices are reasonable. Less expensive then other places with similar food.I would recommend it and I'll go back myself.

Came across this place while looking for new pizza to try that is somewhat close to my area. Ordered a meat lovers for takeout.Pizza was far from impressive, as you can see by the picture. The pepperoni and ham had a came out of a package" taste to them. However

Went to Garden of Italy for an impromptu date night. Service was excellent from the moment we stepped in the door.Bread was fresh for the bruchetta, flavors were exactly as expected. The seafood platter was a good mix of different sea critters, and came with a side of Garden Salad that was pretty standard.I had the Spaghetti Carbonara with pancetta. The pasta was well cooked, but the sauce could have been on the creamier side. I did find it quite oily (potentially from the pancetta) as well.Overall, we had a good experience and would return. Thank you!

Found this Great little restaurant last week at lunch and it was great, came back with the family today for dinner and was a little disappointed . I’m a pop drinker ( usually 2 refills & I’m good) well they only do 1 refill, the glasses are too small and full of ice. It wouldn’t have hurt them to give another refill especially when I’m paying $3.75 per pop. The food is great, but the refill thing turned me off. Plenty of other good Italian restaurants in Calgary.
