Freeman River RV Park

Friendly people met me as I arrived. I was immediately asked if I needed water and wood. Found my spot easily. It is nicely wooded with good privacy. The site and fireplace are clean. The lovely river is a great place to sit and enjoy life. I have only just arrived, but I know there are good things to come.

False advertising. Website claims they have hot showers, flush toilets, and a park. None of this exists. They have one port-a-potty for the entire campsite. Our proposed site was so overgrown the firepit was only half out of the underbrush. When we complained the dude said we would have been told this over the phone - which is completely untrue. We were told the showers were closed last summer for covid and the situation was touch and go this year. All restrictions are lifted at this point but futhermore the building for these showers literally doesn't exist. And that doesn't explain where the park went? None of this is posted anywhere on their website or social media.

Rustic with nice spots. Power. May appear run down at first appearance but kept clean and maintained. The exit loop road washed away so choose spot carefully as some difficult for large units.

Really great campground with nice sites - only issue was the toilets were under construction and they only had one port-a-porty. Would've been nice if they had a men's and women's as well as cleaned it more often.

Honestly amazing experience camping here. The sites are big and really nice but there are no other facilities. The creek is beautiful and we had lots of fun playing in it with the kids but the outhouse was overflowing and the registration booth/store had no staff.

Quiet Campground, Only one bathroom so it is a bit of a walk from some sites. The bathrooms / showers ($1) are in rough shape, needs renovating, but clean. The staff was friendly and the ice cream was a nice treat. We brought our UTV's and could drive in and out of the campground, but the 'unofficial' trails are ~ 10 KM away.

Was sent to site 19 because it's right by the river and beautiful according to our hosts. After driving 2 hours from Edmonton, we get to our site and find a party just a fre feet away. Swearing, loud dance music, drinking and hollering. So we go back and they don't know what to do. A solution is found, we'll move the outhouse so you can camp there!?It cost us 3/4 tank of gas and they want to put ys where the outhouse was AND charge us to syay lol... There and back was about 5 hours wasted trip not to mention the gas. When we complained about it, she said she was sorry there's nothing she could do, she didn't even know how to cancel the credit card charges and asked us how!! The moral of this story is that the owner doesn't care about the comfort of their guests and partiers are more important than paying customers. Now we wasted our weekend for nothing and have to call the credit card company to fight the charges.Never again.

Place was horrible! Small sites- not big enough for our 36 footer, dogs running around when clearly stated to us that dogs must be leashed, needs major work! One toilet for whole campsite. People partying and peeing and puking next to our campsite! Never again!!!

Keep driving past and do not book this place.Website has not been updated in over 10 years.Not even close to what they advertise.No bathrooms or showers and very poor site maintenance.
