Always friendly staff, and the owners and many of the staff will even recognize you after not seeing you for a long time ( you know.. when your schedules don't match up?) and they will genuinely greet you like they are so happy to see you again. Because they are. They are just like that. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable and have quality products for a wide range of financial brackets. They are also eager to help their customers out the door and will help load heavy products into the car. Great service, great people, great products, reasonable prices. P.S., they also now carry raw foods for cats and dogs in their new freezer, in case anybody is interested in knowing.

Their hand sanitizer is absolutely awful and feels like a thin slimy substance. Staff is somewhat friendly - most times don't acknowledge you when you walk in the door and talk to each other but will help if you have a question. Great selection of toys though.

The friendly staff at Pet Valu take time to help you make important decisions where it comes to providing for your pets. They are knowledgeable about the products that they offer, and honest about the quality and how it can vary depending on who the manufacturer is.The staff are always quick to assist you in carrying large purchases to your vehicle, which comes in very handy when you're buying for four large dogs who go through a mountain of dog food.While this store is a bit small and cramped, it nevertheless carries just about every project you could imagine meeting for your various types of pets from dogs, to cats, to rabbits, to birds, to guinea pigs.The store itself is located close to other popular retail outlets so it is very convenient to get to. This is a business worth supporting in the community of Parry Sound.

Been a regular at this store for 20 (or so) years. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They also have a good selection of toys and treats, highly recommend!!

Thank you so much to the great staff who filled my order today at the Southridge Mall location.They are keeping themselves and their customers safe during this pandemic. Even with the extra work they are having to do, they are have the same very positive, friendly and helpful attitude that I always experience in this store.

I am not impressed with the service I received yesterday when I had to return a cat climber because it was missing an integral piece from the box. I had the receipt and all original packaging but I could not get my money back. They said the reason because I purchased it over a month ago. However I live an hour away and couldn't get in to return it. I expressed my disappointment because essentially it was defective and there should be no time limit.I was offered a credit, for the price I paid but how it was handled by the clerk and manager was what bothered me the most. They did not apologize and said it wasn't their fault.... and appeared to not know how to even give my a credit. I walked away feeling upset and without any acknowledgement for my inconvenience.

Great location and they have been friendly to me. Parking is what brings me there.

The store seems fine, the employees are not. Had a teenager tell me she couldn't sell me a $6 fish (beta, which they keep in like 4oz. of water) unless we had a 5 gallon tank for one little fish. I don't think these kids know there is a difference between liters and gallons. Any way, bad teenager attitude mixed with misinformation totally ruined my daughter's first fish experience.P.S. We had a 3 gallon tank all set up for a week, getting it just right for a wee fish.

The staff here are condescending, will not be back.Simply stated that it’s crazy that pet stores are not listed as “essential” by the government since pet food is important to the wellbeing of peoples pets, especially quality food. The girl who was originally serving me at the door, then sent someone else back to the door with the options I had requested and he told me “they don’t appreciate the comments”. I didnt make any comments towards them personally; I simply made a generalized comment about how some stores were considered essential while others were not & how that is strange. As I was explaining myself through this game of telephone, he proceeded to grin and smile at me. I do not appreciate this lack of customer service, I was pleasant to both of them & I will no longer shop at this store. I will choose tail blazers or Rens from now on.
