Teachers, retired and otherwise, beware! I had been very happy with Patty over the last year or so that I have been using her hair studio, no complaints. We had some nice chats and she did a good job at a fair price. The last time I went, however, I happened to mention that I was a retired teacher. Suddenly, she launched into a tirade about how she disapproved of teachers, the teacher’s pension plan in Ontario, and its “investments”. She charged me $20 more than usual and ignored a request for the next appointment! I would probably discourage any teachers, retired or otherwise, from using her services. The situation was so unexpected and uncomfortable, trapped as I was in her chair with my hair half done, simply because I happened to mention that I was a retired teacher! Unprofessional and somewhat disturbing to say the least!
