Pog Lake Campground
It was great camping, Pog lake is amazing, it is a clean middle size lake with warm water. It is great for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. The lake is connected to other lakes like Lake of two rivers and White fish lake. There are toilets and showers, everything was working fine. And the best part, this year it was almost no mosquitos and no nasty flies. We will definitely comeback again.

Positives:- Beautiful, huge sites.- clean bathrooms- beautiful lake and beach- perfect location with more beautiful beaches close by and great hiking trailsNegatives:- loud due to highway noise- if you’re coming with a camper, the line ups to get water or empty sewage are massive. Everyone lines up to highway 60 on a narrow road and the wait is usually 2 hours. For the size of the park they would need another lane or another station.- 2021 offers some different kind of campers who should probably be sent some pointers about camping etiquette before they arrive.

Fantastic camp site. Really put in the bush with this place. Dump site is a little far from the campground but it’s Algonquin! So much to do around this area. The tails around his campground and Algonquin in general are amazing. Make sure you bring your bear spray and bells!! Lots of wild life.

This is an awesome place and must visit by camping lovers. The staff was friendly and helpful. The camp ground is very clean and organized. The washrooms and shower were well maintained. It has canoeing and kayaking facilities. If you want to rent then it will be $18 per single person per hour.

Beautiful campground. Sites are not cramped up together unlike rock lake campground. There is a vault toilet, not great but bearable. Whitefish group site is good. You can easily put up.more than 2 tents. no hydro though. There is a small water entrance on site 501. You can easily launch or leave your canoe/kayak there. No need to access it from the beach everytime. We had a great time. Bring bug nets and repellents. Lots and lots of deer flies in July.

Pog Lake Campground
Pros: gorgeous, tons of hiking, biking and kayaking/canoeing! Lots of wildlife sightings. Well maintained sites and trails. Friendly staff, and everything was super accessible. Regarly cleaned toilets. Our site (220) was way bigger and more private then I anticipated (bonus!). Grocery/camping equipment store close by.Cons: our neighbors were awful (GTA types). Hardly slept the first night due to the yelling/partying and music (yes..music in the radio free zone). Luckily the staff/warden took our complaint very seriously and our next night was much better (albeit still a bit noisy).Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our experience and we are already planning our next trip there.

Friendly staff, great sites. A great place to camp. Families seem to love the large beachfront sites, while the more private sites make the rest of us happy. Though I am concerned about the amount of trees we have seen that were cut down this year. I am going to inquire further about that. It can't just be to make more sites, a money grab (don't worry, I'm not naive) I'm hoping the is an environmental explanation.

Pog Lake at Algonquin Park is so beautiful and perfect for swimming and canoeing and there are some campsite facing lake. Washrooms were very clean during our visit. Always book the canoe online in advance or be there at the lake at 8.30am and Algonquin outfitters arrives around at that time and you can rent it from them at the same time if they have some available.

We loved Pog Lake Campground! After exploring the area and some of the other campgrounds, we definitely liked Pog Lake the best. Section C has the most privacy (this is where we stayed), tall trees surround each site and each is spaced apart. Section A was probably our second favorite. There are some beautiful spots right along the water, just keep in mind that part of section A is a radio free zone. From driving around the different parks my second recommendation would be Mew Lake. The bathrooms were clean and there was enough throughout the campground so that they were not overly busy. There are two small beaches near Section C and Section A. I personally prefered the beach near Section C. There are a few local companies that will deliver canoes/kayaks right to the beach if you wish to rent. We went with a company called the Portage Store, they were very friendly and knowledgeable.Overall, a beautiful campground. Your camping permit gives you access to all the other parks and trails within Algonquin Provincial Park. There is a small (and fairly reasonably priced) grocery store and restaurant located near the middle of the highway (near Lake of Two Rivers). Lots to see and do, especially if you love hiking or biking! Would definitely return again.

Friendly staff at the main office. Fantastic views of the lake. Stayed at section A which is a quiet zone and it was completely quiet. Can't wait to go back!
