Once Upon A Child

We purchased a pair of shoes from here for my kid and after taking them home found out that the tongue of the shoe was broken off. Likely the previous owner traded in damaged shoes that were not properly vetted by the staff. Not a big deal, you can return things.I went back to exchange the shoes, but because my kid had taken the price sticker out of the bottom of the shoe (with the intent to wear them right away) and threw it away, they would not exchange the shoes, even with a receipt. The reason that I was given was that every item that comes into the store is unique and is priced based on what it was bought for coming in, which makes sense, however the shoes are garbage. I can understand not returning something without a price tag if it was the wrong size, kid didn't like it etc. because you can't put it back on the shelf without a potential loss. However, these shoes were not going back on the shelf. They are not useable, they are garbage.I had to double pay for shoes, once for the broken ones, and still had to buy another pair because there was no exchange. This is a terrible policy. If this is how things are, you are better off buying new.

I’ve been shopping here for several months now and have nothing but good things to say about the staff, price and quality of the items I’ve purchased. Good job vetting the products, I’ve been very happy with what I’ve brought home. Keep up the great work ladies!

Had great experiences buying clothes here but dropping off less so. I've never donated before and the staff were not very kind about me not keeping my drop off receipt - had i known I would have kept it but it says nothing on the website or at the time of drop off about that. It's under my name and file so not sure what the issue was, then they werent kind about telling me they needed photo id because I didn't have my ticket ... Happy to give it without a problem but wish it was a kinder experience.

This is my favourite location in the city! It’s so well-organized and they always have a good selection of gently-used kids’ clothes. Each time I’ve visited the customer service has been excellent too—especially from Brenda ᵕ̈ I’ll definitely be back soon.

A great little shop. They have maternity clothes for those that are expecting, and a wide variety of clothing for the little ones. I just picked up some onsies for when my little one arrives.

I love this store!!I probably shop here way to often - but they always have the cutest things and the product is always fresh which keeps me coming back for more!The staff are also the best! I always feel welcome and find everyone really helpful and easy to deal with.And the best part- they give a really fair price for your items!I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already!

I just had a very disappointing experience at OUAC Sunridge. I had received a text message from them stating that they were looking for inventory, and if I buy and sell in the same transaction I would receive 20% off my purchase as well as save 5% GST on trade.I chose 3 items to buy which totalled $26.00 and made my way to the till. The woman at the checkout informed me that they were buying 13 of the items I brought in and offered me a total of $9.64. She then rung my items though and told me I owed $17.18 which sounded odd to me since that is simply the total of the items I wanted to buy (+ gst) minus the value of my trade. I explained that I had received the text message offer and I had activated it. The woman told me that the deal only applies when they purchase $10.00 or more from me. I said that $9.64 is awfully close to $10.00, but none the less, that is not stated on the message I received anyway. I asked where she could show me that there was a $10.00 minimum trade in amount. She said that it wasn't listed anywhere and they were going to fix that. She was very short with me, and by saying she was going to fix it" that implies that she knows this is an issue which obviously leads to false advertising concerns. I asked if there was someone I could speak to about this and again got a very curt response that there wasn't anyone. It was clear she would not help me solve this issue herself

Not sure why these guys are running this place! I strongly feel that they dont even open the boxes to check what is in there! Absolutely rubbish! We wanted to check it and dropped some new clothes just to see what these guys do. But they said we cant accept any! New clothes in there...really?? I hope wise people dont waste their precious time coming here. Zero stars!!!!

I am not going here again. Lash 3x I brought clothes here they told me they didn’t take or were dirty. None of it was dirty just not folded. Also for 25 item they gave me $23.Very disappointed in the customer service.Won’t be returning
