November 7,2022 @7:25 pm paid for recreational swim with my two young children. My eldest is 12 and 5 years old. The twelve can swim and the five cannot swim yet without help. The pool was open between 7:30-9:00 pm and the slide was open from 7:45-8:50 pm. My youngest whom want to try the slides. We line up on top there were two person before us and I decide I slide first before my 5 years old. The life guard male inform me I can stand and wait the bottom to catch my 5 years old when Iam down. The slide looks slow but somehow went I go on it was fast. I thought my 5 years might be scared so I made sure I can catch her when she coming down. When I was down. The life guard female said I cannot stand the bottom but have to get out of the pool. I insist because my 5 year old will be scared and she cannot swim. She allow me to sand by under the rob line near the slide and as soon as my 5 year old came down, she was push near the middle and was trying to swim on her own. She cannot swim and call mommy her last breath before she took a deep. I immediately pull the rob over my head and rush over to catch her. The life guard was closer to my 5 years old but did nothing about it but rather stand and watch what can happen or what will happen. Not sure why the security guard did not jump in the water to safe my 3”4 feet who can reach to the bottom. My 5 year old panic and cried out loud. I would like to capture the video to play back that negligently there a cause of incompetent and fast to act. I need to see what they will improve for parents who cannot react as Quick as me or cannot swim in the deep end to catch their little one. I had to play it off it was ok for my children not to panic and traumatized for not trusting the pool or people who work there she cannot rely on their Life. Life guard is to safe life not to look pretty or don’t care to act. I need an answer or investigate this incident to not happen to future families. The life guard was zoom out and was just standing there; who ever was there did not even come to ask or said anything to make things better. This is a community not heartless discrimination act. Iam shock and humiliated and said I will come back for more answers to why they did not do anything. Are they waiting for my little one to die before I can sue them for negligence or intentional act. This is unacceptable and needs solution.

Great place but the day we went there were many people in the pools so not possible to swim, just walk in the pool. They should reduce the number per hour so visitors can enjoy better the time there.

Nice pool for sure. Haven't used all facilities but it is probably one of the better ones in the town.

The community center swimming class is a joke. The coaches quality has a large variation . Some of them are just coming here for killing time and make money. I can’t imagine the coach can just talking at the poolside for whole class while teaching grade 1 or 2. And spend most of time just talking and the students is just standing listening. I never seem that particular girl coach enter into water for 2 months, such irresponsible coach and just come her for killing time and making $. Some of them are really taking seriously to coach the kids even just 30 or 45mins class. Has the community center had a proper system in place to filter and monitor what these so called “coaches” performing ?

A library with a study room, where children are brought here to borrow books and study every week. The waiting area of the swimming pool is a bit small, but there are large stands inside. It a good place to swim.

Pool was very cold. The water in the Kids area was very cold, and the space is quite small, they didn't even allow pool noodles. The swim lane area was larger but cold as lake Ontario water. The pool area is not heated, you come out of the change rooms to blowing freezing cold air.The slide was nice, but only open for maybe 30 minutes. Area is quite dim, very dark to swim. The changerooms have lots of space and lockers, you can use their coded lockers or bring your own lock, there wasn't a bathing suit spinner, so we had to ring out our clothing. Not the best pool on my list.

It's okay, they can be very strict about certain things and they don't have room in the library at times. However they have a wide array of things to borrow they have a gym some food in the vending machines and other things. All in all it's an okay community center

Wow. Came first time to buy a fitness centre membership. Looking in the weight room window, it was crawling with kids from the adjacent highschool just sitting on the machines, on their phones. Since there was only one of each machine, staying was pointless.Left and came back next day, went to Customer Service to register. The sole rep was on the phone for 10 minutes unable to handle the caller to end the conversation, with the lineup growing. The rep finally hung up and turned to the family two ahead of us in line, spending another 17 minutes explaining that the registration for whatever wasn't open and they could check back online. The rep was also unable to handle this customer and end the conversation. At this point I gave up and went to GoodLife Fitness, registering on the spot. Yes, I'll happily pay 3X the price for good service. Government efficiency at it finest...
