H&R Block

I recently used HR Block at 3117 W. Broadway for my taxes and found them to be very good. I had to file my taxes from overseas as I was out of the country. The receptionists and all office staff I spoke with were fantastic at taking messages and scheduling phone appointments with the tax planner. They were all lovely to talk with. Horray for you ladies!!!My tax planner seemed knowledgeable and worked on a successful outcome for me.Only down side was he obviously had a lot of clients and seemed overworked as I guess all good Consultants will be this time of year.Will definitely use this office again.

The accountant Freda was wonderfully helpful, fast and thorough. I'm just extremely unpleased of how there are never any front desk person available to speak to. I wanted to book another appointment and drop off some file but we'd end up waiting for 15-20 minutes until we decide to leave because it was taking too long. Please have a front desk person be available at all time!!

Fiona (Peina) Qiu at the H&R Block is professional, knowledgeable, and kind. She went above and beyond to help me understand every step of my tax return process and made sure I left with all my questions answered. Highly recommend!

I am usually quite happy with the service, but was shocked to discover that they significantly raised fees for small businesses this year, and small businesses only. With so many of us going under, this move is unconscionable. I will be looking elsewhere next year. The person who does my taxes every year was also shocked on my behalf.

The first point I'd like to say is that the employee Ms. Wang assisting the client before me knew that she (the client) lived farther away, so she offered to extend her appointment time in order to get everything squared away. Granted this did cut into my own time, but she did ask me before making that decision and I was fine with it, and I was impressed at the willingness to help that the personnel displayed.Ms. Wang and the receptionist were cordial and patient, and helped me with the many finer aspects of tax filing. I really do not understand all the bad reviews that came before mine, as this location has proven to be very nice in terms of customer service.

Sarah Wang at the H & R Block @ the 3117 W Broadway location was the best! I certainly recommend this lady. She's professional, accurate and thorough. She answered all of our questions and corrected the nonsense done at another location last year. The front desk person was so nice and patient with us.It's now 2years later from the above post. We just came from seeing Sarah, and she still blows our mind. She's so patient. She tells us all the new info from the government and now that my son will be turning 18 and going to college, she's given us the next steps. She makes sure we are fully informed before we walk out the door. Leaves no stone unturned. Absolutely love her.

Fiona is the best! She knows the tax code for both the US and Canada and always manages to maximize my returns. She is professional, hard working, and prompt. I will come back here every year to utilize her services.

Went in yesterday to get my taxes done and was helped by Fiona, she was so good! Helped me claim some tuition credits, and stayed late to get everything done. Was very very helpful, would definitely recommend this location to anyone!

I came into the branch with full disclosure that I was new to the country and that I needed help paying and also understanding the tax system here. I asked more than once if everything was fine with the tax return that was filed and I was assured everything was fine too. I just got a letter from the CRA with a term I've never heard before on all those hours and in all those emails I sent and the response was somewhere along the lines of you figure it out".Why did I paid for the service (not cheap by any means) if I was to "figure it out" by myself either way? Extremely unprofessional and I would even say deceiving

Fiona has been helping me with my tax for many many years since I was still a UBC students and she is amazing to work with. Even after I moved to a far away place, I still come back every year to see her for my tax return.She will deal with all of your tax issues properly and make sure everything goes well for you. She will take care of the things that you didn’t even know that may affect you. She is the best. She is very kind, hard-working, supportive, and interpersonal. When you book an appointment, make sure you book it with her. You will have nothing to worry about!
