Mousy Browns

I've been here twice now (with my last hair cut in aug 2020) and have always been satisfied with my hair cut! Especially impressed with the stylist Maraquitta who gave me a really awesome short,layered bob that has been growing out nicely now even 2 months later. So grateful to her for helping me try out a new style. Mousy Browns is an affordable salon with wonderful hair stylists- both of mine, Kathleen and Maraquitta were great!The day I visited there was one small issue where the debit terminal wasn’t working which resulted in some problems processing my payment. Therefore, when I wrote this review earlier- I had initially expressed that I wasn’t really happy with how the payment processing situation was handled. I hadn’t actually expected any response from the salon with regards to it, given that I had posted my review an entire 2 months after my haircut ( so I expected the incident to be long forgotten by the salon staff) and I had expressed in my review how my salon experience was mostly positive ( 4 stars) and that I just felt that this last customer service experience was a bit lacking.However, I was pleasantly surprised when Kelsey the salon coordinator reached out and was kind enough to take the time to address my concerns and to make me feel understood with regards to how the payment situation was handled. Though the entire payment processing situation was just a little misunderstanding and Kelsey had ultimately ensured that my payment was processed properly- she took full responsibility with regards to my concerns of how the situation was handled (even though in the grand scheme of things it was just a small issue and the overall haircut experience itself was great) and went above and beyond to reassure me as a customer! Kelsey was extremely gracious in accepting my feedback and her commitment to providing excellent customer service and her desire to make customers feel welcome and valued is truly remarkable! So thank you Kelsey!So all in all, I will say my experience at mousy browns is most definitely a positive one and they truly deserve their 5 stars. Not only do they have awesome, talented stylists that can provide you with amazing hair cuts, they also provide excellent, professional customer service to ensure their customers are taken care of!

I got my hair cut by protege hairstylist, Jamie. She had great ideas and I loved my haircut with styling. However, my scalp became irritated with the amount of styling I was doing so I went back to get my hair cut in a way that I did not have to style it. I felt so bad for going back and was expecting her to be upset, but she was so accommodating and happily helped me find a style that worked for me! Customer service on a next level. Thanks so much!!

Great experience. Will definitely be back. I am new to Edmonton and was looking for a new hairstylist. I called yesterday on recommendation from a friend to book my appointment for sometime this week, they were able to get me in today within my schedule. When I arrived, I was greeted by the front desk girls, they took my coat, checked me in and offered me a beverage. I was scheduled with Kaylyn and she came up shortly after I got there and had me grab a robe and took me to her chair. She asked me about my hair and what I wanted and how I liked it. She made a suggestion about a technique she liked to use for curly hair and gave it a shot. I had a lovely head massage during my shampoo and condition, she cut my hair efficiently, and gave me a full blow-out. My hair looks great, she was also sure to insist that if anything was out of place or off to call back to have it cleaned up.The only downside is that if you are unfamiliar with the area, there isn't much free parking if any, bring 1$ or 2$ coins to pay for parking. Otherwise an excellent experience, I can't wait to go back in 6 weeks for another cut.

Heard friends that have had styling etc and recommend a specific stylist

Super friendly and accommodating staff! They were able to squeeze me in last minute for a haircut.I had a great appointment with Jamie! I came in needing a freshen-up and left with beautiful hair! I really appreciated that my stylist listened to how I wear my hair and was able to give me a haircut that looked great, even with no styling.Jamie was very knowledgeable and showed me products they thought would be beneficial for me and I left with a decently priced shampoo!I will definitely be returning!

Alex was incredible! I am so in love with my new hair and she was a joy to work with. The knowledge that every person in the salon posesses is so incredible. I really loved that they care for what is best for you hair and explain the process thoroughly.I don't think I want anyone else other than Alex to touch my hair ever again! Thank you Mousy Brown's Whyte for creating such a great experience.

I have been booking my hair appointments with Jamie for over a year, and Jamie is THE best hairstylist I have been to! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to come out of their appointment feeling and looking amazing! She listens to exactly what I ask for, she is polite and professional. 10/10

Modern salon in Edmonton, highly experienced stylists, recommend for blondes /balayage/ Color corrections and tape-in hair extensions or micro weft.

After a bowl cut and a very bad color I was offered a redo. The redo was worse. I was then offered a different stylist at a different location and after many months and two more hair colors I still ended up with a horrible color. Was not happy with the cuts either, and although the stylist was very nice it certainly is not worth the high price to come out with hair that is ruined.
