My husband and I have been going to Dr Morris for well over a decade and very grateful for the services he has provided to our beloved pets. Dr. Morris and his staff are incredibly compassionate and take the time to explain any required procedure or illness our pets are experiencing. Highly recommend this veterinary hospital.

Covid has changed everything! I had to wait outside while my dog was taken in for his examination and his vaccinations. Afterward, the vet came outside with him to report and discuss. Good thing the weather cooperated! The visit was very good, in spite of the conditions. The Morris clinic is a 5* clinic - one of the best I've been to through the years. I only hope I have no need to visit in the dead of winter!

I want to specifically address our experience with Dr. Nancy Shand at the clinic today. For the last 4 days, my brother's 2 year old dog Odin, has not been himself. Overnight he began to progressively get worse. Lethargic, poor appetite, inability to control bowels. An appointment was made at the clinic for today at 3:30pm. At this time, Odin was responsive, drinking and out to pee on his own. Within the span of 1-2 hrs, Odin took a turn for the worst. He was, to emphasize the urgency, half dead. Laboured breathing, cool to touch, unable to move, breathing but unresponsive. Unable to make it to an emergency clinic as he was rapidly declining, we brought him to Morris Vet where we had to hammock-him in a blanket and into the office. As a health care professional, I understand the importance of thorough assessment and early intervention. Dr. Shand began her assessment by asking questions about what sort of things Odin could have ingested or possible exposures. After a lengthy, what felt more like an interrogation than an assessment, we were presented with a $500 deposit. It was determined at this time, that Odin was in the back under some warming blankets, waiting for the measly $500 deposit to be paid prior to starting any sort of treatment. This treatment plan outlined IV fluids, antibiotics, blood work and xrays. At this point, we had been at the clinic for approximately 30 minutes. In such a time of urgency, that 30 minutes could have been the difference between life and death. I then had to leave, drive 15 minutes across town and back (another 30) to get payment prior to the start of treatment. We were told that we would receive an update around 4:00pm and provided a number to be reached at. Drove home, across town and was informed by my 10 year old(!!) that someone from the vet called and Odin had died.Unbeknownst to us at this time, my sister in law arrived at the clinic and it was mentioned that Dr. Shand had called the number and spoke to some man who had no idea what she was talking about." That 'man' was my 10 year old son

Best Vet I have been to! They truly care about the animals and they don't get you to do unnecessary tests etc. So happy with my switch! Wouldn't go anywhere else now. Great friendly staff as well!

Such a very kind man. My cat needed to be put down and instead of a very painful experience for me he was so gentle and kind to her which made all the difference. I have lived in several cities and have never met such a wonderful vet before. I wish you all happiness in your life dr morris

We started using Morris Vet Clinic in 2012 and, until this past week, I have been fairly pleased with my interactions, particularly with Dr. Morris himself or Dr. Matt. Last week, I took my 2-year old golden retriever in for his Lepto vaccine. Dr. Shand was on duty and, as soon as she entered the examination room, she asked why we were there. She commented that “she had a bad reaction to the Lepto shot last time so I am not going to give her the shot”. First of all, our dog, whose file she had in her hand, is a male. Secondly, the office had called me to make the appointment so does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing? Dr. Shand then proceeded with the annual wellness check, a requirement before any vaccine apparently. She used her stethoscope to check his heart, them looked quickly at his gums before giving him his needle. Total time spent=less than 1 minute. No checking of eyes or ears, no palpating of stomach, etc. When I am paying $85 + tax for a wellness checkup, I expect my dog to be properly checked. I have asked to have a note on our file that we DO NOT WANT Dr.. Shand to treat our animals. Very disappointing but I think she is in the wrong profession.Dr. Morris and the rest of his staff are wonderful and I have never had issues before. Dr. Shand is ruining his clinic’s reputation.

We are greatly indebted to Dr Morris and his team. We thought we were going to loose Trooper our 6yr old German Shepherd, he lost 24lbs and hardly ate, couldn't climb stairs, could barely stand, vomiting and bloody stool. After the x-ray, ultrasound and blood work, Dr Morris diagnosed his issues then prescribed meds and vitamin B12 shots. Troopers up walking, has energy and his appetite & stool are back to normal. He plays with his sister Pheonix again, they're not just one pets and Dr Morris recognized this! Great Vet and human being. God Bless

We’ve got lots of rescue pets. 3 dogs and 3 cats. Our youngest pup got fixed today and got at his incision shortly after getting home. Last second call for help, they answered and waited for us after hours to bring pup back for repairs! Thanks kindly.

Dr. Morris is one of a kind. Not only is he kind, caring and compassionate, he truly and sincerely cares about all his animal patients small and large. Very few vets treat so-called pocket pets". My wife and I rescue Guinea Pigs
