We worked with Trent to finish the basement on our 85 year old semi-detached house and are very happy with how everything turned out. Trent was helpful from the start with suggestions on things such as the layout and was able to quickly identify pretty well all the work that needed to be done so was able to provide an accurate quote and stay within our budget. He and his team were reliable and he quickly responded to any questions or concerns we had throughout the renovation. We would work with Trent again for any future renovations.

We worked with Trent on a bedroom renovation last year and it was great. He's reliable, a good communicator, and the quality of work is excellent, especially the drywall. We'd work with Trent again for sure.

We recently finished a very extensive reno to our main and upper floors. We met with several contractors to explain what we were were looking to achieve. We immediately could tell from talking to him that Trent Schwieg from Trentco Construction was the real deal and are so happy with the work he did for us. From the get-go, Trent was a great communicator and took time to understand what we were looking to do. Trent completed a beautiful bathroom reno and remodel. He turned our old bathroom into a solid, beautiful, spa-retreat! Our reno included working with separate contractors for other projects and Trent managed the timing of everything and order that pieces of work took place and took the stress out of the process for us. We had drill and fill insulation installed by another company as we did not want to gut our main and upper floors. Following that, Trent masterfully smoothed out our walls. Trent also installed hardwood flooring, a new railing and pickets, capped our stairs and tiled our entryway. Finally, because we decided we could not have such a beautiful interior without giving the exterior some attention, Trent stained our front and back decks and painted the front brick. Trent is very detail oriented and would inform of us things to consider that we as non-contractors would not have considered! We could tell he always had our best interests in mind. Trent did such an incredible job and I recommend him fully!

I have worked with Trent a few times over the years; with my old house in the west end and recently in my house in the beaches. He's personable, does great work and is very helpful - he cares about doing things properly which I really appreciate. Overall a great contractor and I highly recommend him!

This review is long over due. After Trentco did such a great job renovating our bedroom, we did not hesitate in calling them again when we decided to renovate our basement. Trentco did an amazing job transforming our basement from a dungeon we dreaded spending time in. It is now the nicest part of our house. Our basement is a place we now play as a family, have guests stay over, do laundry in, and watch TV. Trent and his team's attention to detail is unparalleled. They believe in doing things right the first time and it is evident in how the finished product turned out. They stayed on budget, on time, and they were more than willing to accommodate modifications we made along the way. Trent is honest, trustworthy, and above all else, he wanted to ensure that we were satisfied as clients. Trent was always available by phone and ready to explain the renovation process every step of the way. Trent and his team were kind to our children and we did not hesitate going away on vacation while they were working. We definitely plan on calling them again the next time the renovation bug hits us.

Trentco did a great job on our basement, both underpinning and basement finishing as a Secondary in-law suite all to code for that purpose.Very trustworthy and cares about his work - followed up many times for fine tuning adjustments.Basement looks great and is very comfy and well thought out.Trent kept in touch throughout and work with us to solve problems or unexpected items along the way..We had issues due to groundwater that caused the project to run over budget and over time, but Trent was doing what he could to safely move the project along and keep us informed.We will be looking to him and his team for future work or renovations without hesitation. Earlier this year, we hired Trentco to overhaul the basement of our home in Leslieville. We had a good experience working with Trent and his team. He’s an honest and trustworthy professional and he and his team work hard, are respectful and courteous, and best of all, know what they are doing. Trent has a lot of experience working with older Toronto homes so he was well-prepared to handle the curveballs our place threw at him. I appreciate the special effort Trent makes to keep his clients in the loop. Every step of the way, we knew what was happening and what to expect. We were fortunately introduced to Trent by a neighbor. Trent installed a new exterior door and re drywalled a large room in our basement including electrical and trim.all perfectly completed. Trent had done a fantastic job renovating our kitchen 2 years ago, so then it came do doing our bathroom it was a no brainer. Trent was able to turn our bathroom into a fully accessible one. Love his work and have recommended him to friends.
