Not a great place to work (quite small and hidden, unlike Starbucks) but amazing coffee, don’t hesitate to go if you aim for good coffee! Had the best cappuccino I’ve tried in Toronto :))

A lovely coffee shop that is very hard to find! Walk down the south side of Charles street and turn into the fenced pathway with the « Barbershop » sign to find it! Very reasonably priced beverages, and lots of seating in the hotel lobby attached to it.

Yep..their coffee is strong, black and hot — just the way I love my coffee. Great spot to just grab and go or stay for a bit. Also a really great selection of teas and baked goods to nosh on if you’ve already had your coffee already. I’ve been a fan of Hot Black Coffee up at the Davisville location, and glad they are opening up here too.

The coffee is very good, the iced mocha is very rich and has a nice bitter taste of the coffee and the chocolate. Docked one star because the prices are a little ridiculous, 6.93 for this little drink.

Exceptional cappuccinos. A little surprising even. The place is pretty well hidden with a tiny walkway to a side-storefront with a barber shop in the back. The vibe is amazing, with a full wine wall and a nice edgy ambience that plays to the coffee’s quality. There are also small snacks to be had such as walnut squares and date squares. Really good stuff.

Visited over the winter holiday and I cannot stop thinking about the Jam Cookie and the Breakfast Cookie. Both were beautifully nutty and not overly sweet. Enjoyed black coffee here 3 mornings during my stay and it was always lovely and balanced.

HotBlack Coffee
A tiny outpost of HotBlack coffee located adjacent to a hotel. There is a barbershop connected to the cafe too. The coffee is good and their egg and toast is pretty unique and popular. But HotBlack doesn't have oat milk or many other alternatives to dairy. So that might be an issue, as most cafes in Toronto keep the usual alternatives. We were a bit surprised. The staff is friendly and warm.
