Holiday Inn Express & Suites Medicine Hat Transcanada Hwy 1, an IHG Hotel

The kids thought this was a great waterslide, and so I had to test it out, and they were correct, not just a simple corkscrew slide, but a really good twist and turn slide that they used continuously for the weekend. The hotel is also very nice. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast included had hot and cold items, something for everyone, and was very tasty. Highly recommend staying here with your family. Great value and comfort.

We have stayed in a room in Roger's Centre in Toronto. Paid $550 a night, the room last night in the Holiday Inn Express was more impressive then the one in Toronto for a fifth of the price. The front staff was fantastic. Great breakfast this morning. Great job staff at Holiday Inn Express.

This place really improves customer service. In the past was hard to make a reservation with corporate rate and front desk staff was rude. Now they really impress me as the front desk staff is very helpful Monique and Ian were fantastic on helping from reservation and looking after to extend my room and taking care of my stuffs from the room while I was driving back from Saskatchewan.The rooms finally were very clean and beds really smell fresh and no more pool (bleach) smell walking to the elevator. Hallways really clean. Please keep it up!!!I will be back for sure and stop staying at the Premium Best Western and Marriot.

Ian at the front desk is truly fantastic. Not only does he welcome you with a warm greeting, but his humor and cheerful attitude make you truly feel welcome. Hes one of the reasons my husband and I continue to be customers. I thoroughly enjoy my stay every time we stay in Medicine Hat. The rooms are clean, breakfast is delicious and has an amazing selection and the pool is a serious bonus. I recommend this hotel to anyone passing through or visiting.

Can't say I'll be staying here again. It had its ups and downs. But mostly downs. First of all the service and friendliness of the staff was superb. The guys at the front desk were awesome. The lady at the continental breakfast was lovely even though she said she had been there since 4am. Just great people. The downside was the rooms and pool which are the main areas you spend most of your time. Our room was 215. The place has a lot of wear and tear. Our bathroom had peeling wallpaper with what looks like black mold under it. The tub wouldn't drain properly while showering. That was gross. And any maintenance that had been done to it was poor in quality. As shown with the caulking job around the base of the bathtub. Front entrance floors were quite scratched up while entering the room and smears all over the mirrors. One good thing about the rooms were the beds were very comfortable and they label the pillows according to firmness. Cool bonus. The pool could just use some love and updating. The floors were gross and the drains were clogged with hair. Pretty nasty.

Great stay. Booked online through their website. Was very easy. Room was large and clean. Pool was big and warm. Hot tub was extremely hot, much too hot for anyone to go in... But the pool was nice. Clerks at the front desk were all very nice and made a point to be very kind and welcoming to our kids. Very impressed.
