Instinct Canine Training

Would 10/10 recommend - Anna is pleasure & super knowledgeable. We saw so much progress with our rescue dog Apple. We are happy with all of our progress and thankful we made the choice to come to Instinct.

Went for a novice obedience class. I was terrified for my girl as she's fear reactive but friendly and a big baby. She's my first adult dog and all my childhood dogs were angels. I honestly was overwhelmed with all the things you needed to learn and different dogs are different personalities and behaviors. Anne Marie was so compassionate and helped both Savannah and I so much. We still are in their courses today and for the foreseeable future. Savannah loves obedience group classes and they help build our bond even more. There aren't enough words to thank Anne Marie and her staff.

We adopted our Texas rescue Teddy back in September 2021 and after a couple of months of trying to help him adjust on our own, we found that we were going to need help. He was great with people in our home but out and about he was very reactive especially with other dogs. We were lucky to find Anna Marie of Instinct Canine for private lessons and she helped us get back on track. Fast tract to today and Teddy is a very different dog thanks to her guidance. Her “Walk with me Wednesday’s” group walks with her dogs has been a tremendous help to getting him more comfortable with other dogs. I can’t say enough good things and would highly recommend ICT.

We took our rescue Huskey here and Anna Marie was an amazing teacher. She is friendly, flexible and very approachable. She quickly was able to size up our dog, Faith, and advise us on how to manage her little quirks. The level 1 teaching was simple to follow and with practice we saw significant improvement in Faith's behavior and obedience. It was very rewarding to see our dog's development. We are looking forward to attending the next level class with Instinct Canine Training.

We would definitely recommend Instinct Canine Training! Anna Marie and her team of dog trainers have provided a well-organized and incredibly successful dog training experience for our puppy Obi-Wan Kenobi. The training sessions were all completed a pace that was easy to for the dogs to develop their skills. We received detailed instructions and notes after each class so we could remember everything we were taught when we were training at home. Our puppy has learned more skills than we imagined, and we will definitely look at more programs offered by Instinct Canine Training. Anna Marie has a wonderful and friendly personality that made it a welcoming experience for both puppies and humans. We couldn't be happier with the progress Obi-Wan has made!!!

I can’t say enough about Anna Marie! Our rescue, Dobby, was very reactive on leash, and has a bite history. We can now walk him with without him going crazy at the end of the lead when he sees another dog and he’s been enjoying the Train and Play/School program. He’s has made improvements that we weren’t sure were even possible! Thanks Anna Marie!!!

I can’t say enough about Anna Marie Stewart of Instinct Canine Training and the difference she has made.We recently rescued an Irish Wolfhound X and knew very little about her past or what she may have gone through. Soon after getting her home we found that she was severely leash reactive to other dogs making walks almost impossible. We were not able to have her within a block of another dog without her barking and pulling uncontrollably on the leash. We suspect that she had never been properly socialized and had no idea how to behave around other dogs.We began working with Anna on basic obedience and ways to deal with Luna’s excitement. She gradually introduced her own dog to the training and after several sessions Luna was walking comfortably with her dog Mia. With each session Luna is reacting less to other dogs on the walks. She is also calmer and less prone to excited outbreaks. Luna is still a work in progress, but I know that with Anna’s help, she will get there.In a very short time Anna has helped Luna enjoy the second chance she deserves.Thank you so much Anna. I can’t wait to see where continued training takes us.

When we brought home a rescue dog last year, we knew that we needed professional training to help her become a well-mannered pet. Anna Marie helped us and our dog learn solid behavior habits which have given us a friendly, loving, calm, nonreactive, obedient dog. And a new best friend! Approx. 3 months ago my wife and I adopted a 4 year old King Shepard/Husky who was in need of a new home. Although friendly towards our family he was extremely reactive towards other people and animals on our daily walks. Being a very large dog it was most challenging to control him.
