Port Elgin Cinemas

Good cinema for a small town. Seats were comfy and lots of leg room. Only down side is they do not lean back at all. The film itself was great, good quality and sound. Concession stand had a good variety.

We really enjoy going to the Port Elgin Cinema. It's a 40 minute drive for us, but well worth it. The seats are very comfy, friendly staff. When my guy was a kid his family camped at the Fairway campground, a bunch of the kids went to see Jaws there (think it was in 77), anyway none of them wanted to swim after that...lol. We would soon go here than go to the big cinemas!!!

Don't judge a book by its cover. Seeing the outside of the theatre, I was expecting an older, smaller, more cramped experience. I was shocked by how spacious and modern this place is on the inside. The prices are very reasonable for both admission and concessions. The cinema is cash only but a family of 4 can have a night out for under $60. The staff are friendly and helpful, a pleasure to interact with. I wish there were theaters like this where I live, I just can't justify a 3 hour drive to see a movie. The next time I'm in Port Elgin I'm definitely stopping by for another movie.

Older theatre with a nostalgic, retro feel to it. Ticket and food prices are great, and the theatres have big screens and show movies in 3D. The only improvement I could suggest is their seating - pretty hard and uncomfortable, unfortunately, but the rest of the experience almost makes up for it.

We stopped in on a rainy night and enjoyed comfortable seating, tasty popcorn and a good film.It was a good night out.The theatre can be easy to miss as you are driving down the main strip, so watch for the theatre, or navigate there.There is parking and we were able to get a spot right out front of the main doors.Please note that the theatre only accepts cash!!!! (But, there is an ATM on site).The snack bar is well appointed. Not just popcorn and candy, but drinks, and hot drinks (tea) and combo deals, so items are afforable.The theatre was clean, the washrooms were well maintained and stocked and the theatre we were in was comfortable . The seats were good, the sound was not too loud and the doors to the theatre were quiet, so we were not aware of people coming and going while the film was playing.We were especially impressed with the number of theatre rooms on site and the accessibility of the building.If we are ever in Port Elgin again, and want to see a movie, we'd definitely choose the Port Elgin Theatres

For a small town movie theater it has everything you need. The chairs have been pretty beat up for years but they are all currently being upgraded. Movies cycle pretty frequently and you can expect most blockbusters to be there. Standard movie theater food available. However it is cash only.

Just took the family to see Star Wars the Last Jedi! It is a great theatre for a small town! There are three screens with lots of seating! The sound and picture were very good! The concession stand was well stocked with all the snacks and treats!A good time was had by all and will definitely be back!

Hey, it doesn't look like much from the outside but it's great in the inside! Very clean... Comfortable seating... Great snack bar... A a great welcome from the gentleman at the ticket booth.

Great little theater for Port Elgin. Open again after being closed during the pandemic! Very comfortable seats (recently updated I'm guessing). They play family classics on the weekends. Awesome option for anyone rained out while camping!

Decent prices, multiple screens so there is always something to see. the popcorn is excellent and the combo choices are a value. some of the seats can be obstructed by the people sitting in front of you. However, there is many seats so unless you are there on a super busy night you can enjoy the movie without obstruction. all in all great cinema to catch the latest flick at.
