Dr.Steven Fremeth

We were referred to Dr. Fremeth by our family Dentist for our son to have some work done. Reviews on here had me very nervous, but we went to the consultation and it went well so we proceeded to book surgery. Dr. Fremeth seemed knowledgable and gave me details & information on what he was doing & why. He also did some preventative work so that my son wouldn't end up back at our regular office in the near future. Surgery day went well, everybody my son would see before & after surgery came to say hi to him (anesthesiologist, post-OP nurses & Dr. Fremeth) beforehand while he was still with me in the pre-OP room & also described to him what their job was. He was given the mask ahead of time to become comfortable with it as well. Once it was his turn, I helped him up onto the table and talked to him until he fell asleep & the nurses were SO patient and kind. Dr. Fremeth reassured me as I left that he was in great hands and gave a time frame. Post-OP nurse was great and I was there before he woke up. Overall a really good experience!

Absolutely terrible, He did 2 fillings for me that caused extreme damage to the tooth and later denied it. They were so damaged and I was in so much pain that I came back and he said That's normal" without any X-Ray or exam. The pain became so intense that I later paid out of pocket for another dentist and had a root canal done and I am currently waiting for my crown. Steven Fremeth is an absolutely horrible dentist that should not be trusted in the medical field in general

My son suffered a dental emergency over the weekend and we were not able to see a qualified pediatric dentist at the time of the injury as all specialty clinics were closed. It took until Monday for us to find someone that would see him. And we were so fortunate when I phoned the Blue Heron Dental Group, who were most sympathetic of our situation. They gave us the private number of their pediatric dental expert, Dr. Steven Fremeth, who was working at CHEO that day. He took my phone call at 7:30 in the morning and lent a most sympathetic ear and made room to see us that very morning! He was so good with my five year old son and put him at ease. He was very knowledgeable about my child's dental emergency and was very clear in his advice on how we should pursue the issue. After having gone to two emergency rooms and seeing one emergency dentist on the weekend, it was most reassuring to meet with a pediatric specialist that prioritized us, knew what to do, and ultimately gave my son excellent care. Dr Fremeth is the BEST DentistHe is very professional and helpfulMy daughter broke her front tooth and I took her to the Clinic without an appointment. His assistant cleaned the blood and they did the X-Ray of the tooth. Dr Fremeth also saw my daughter and give us his professional advice. All this he did it without charging us a pennyI highly recommend Dr Fremeth

I have been seeing Dr. Fremeth for 26 years and he has bent over backwards to do all that he can to alleviate any of my suffering. I even called him on a Sunday and he answered the phone. At my last visit with him he said if I was in any pain I was to call him ANY TIME. He has been totally professional at all times and works extremely long hours with the energy of an energizer bunny. I would recommend him as dentist of choice to any one. I am most fortunate to have found him!

My son had three bottom teeth expertly removed by Dr Fremeth under general anesthetic at age 3, on the day right after Halloween! He did a fantastic job, and already told me ahead of time what to expect, but it was still a big shock to me. He was very professional and we met him by referral from our family dentist. We moved away and years later when we returned to the city, I also called up Dr Fremeth's office to see my son. This time, I disagreed with his decision to remove the top canine" baby tooth because of a cavity

When our children were very young, we visited this clinic in hope of finding a regular place to come to, for all dentistry needs. After one single visit we left upset, angry and with full intention never to return again. Doctor was rude, condescending and as we found out from multiple other dentists later, ultimately wrong in his assessment of my children's teeth and what needed to be done. He wanted to immediately pull several of my then 3 year old teeth. We have seen several dentists shake their heads after we have told them his assessment. Luckily we found a great dentist that has their clients best interest in mind.

My experience goes back to 1978 when I first came to Ottawa and needed a dentist. I was just starting my career and so was Dr Fremeth. Over these many years I have received excellent care and observed his practise and techniques evolve. He would tell me about some new filling, some new piece of equipment, some new procedure. My children, initially apprehensive of 'the dentist' were soon put at ease. Always positive, always efficient, always congenial, we have been blessed as a family and community to have him.

My daughter had a traumatic experience with Dr. Fremeth where there was uninformed consent for restraints and he even pulled a baby tooth without prior discussion. Completely unacceptable and I would encourage anyone with a similar experience to complain to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons. My case has been waiting to be considered. I would give zero stars if I could.

This dentist pulled 9 teeth from my 6 year old son. 9!!! With no consultation with us. The reason he gave was he saw his fathers teeth were crooked so now his teeth should grow in straight!!! What type of dentistry is that!!! Beware! Do not trust your child or yourself with this man. He has fetish for doing extractions. My son suffered a long time after seeing him.
