We were a party of 4 adults and 4 kids on a Sunday late evening, when the restaurant was fairly empty.Unfortunately, our server had left a bitter feeling in our otherwise perfect day.our server didn't make us feel welcomed and made us feel as if our business was not valued to the establishment. They never came to check up on us after our order was served. Every time we had asked for anything extra, like lemon wedges or even water, the glass/plate was just loudly slammed on our table.Please do not order the shrimp tacos. It comes with 3 measly tiny, overly fried pcs of shrimps! Also, the tuna poke was too spicy.We enjoy eating and hanging out at Jack's in Mississauga all the time. But this Barrie location was a huge letdown. We'll never take our business here again.

Went to Jack’s for the fire time and Barrie and everything was great. Service was fast and friendly and the food was great. Definitely and nice space either on the patio or inside to relax and grab a bite with family and friends. Definitely I’ll be back to try some more menu items in the future.

the tuna poke salad was too spicy to be poke" and the portion distribution of the plate was very uneven; not enough tuna but too much salad. the dish was so spicy that the apples were tinted red. Most of our family's dishes weren't good. Also the service we received was unfriendly. There also wasn't a way to warm up a baby's milk bottle which the majority of other restaurants are able to do."

Seems like a fun place, went on trivia night. Took way to long for food (45 minutes) and was told soda water was free but were still charged for it. Slow service, meh food, fun atmosphere. Go for the environment, not for the food.

I ordered a watermelon Greek salad with chicken, it came to almost $26 and the amount of chicken on. It was literally four bites. I have tried a few of the new menu items at Jack’s, which we frequent often, but for the price they are charging and the amount of food they are serving, it is a place I will not be going to as often unfortunately. on the upside, the staff is absolutely five star.

Jack Astors is a great atmosphere and always has great service. They have the best nachos and sangria in town! Charlie was also a wonderful server! He was very personable, attentive, funny and great with kids! We will be back :)

I went with a small group last night and everyone agreed that our waitress Amanda provided the best customer service any of us have experienced in a very long time. She was so very friendly and attentive. Her knowledge of the menu and her passion for food was refreshing. They had Christmas lights strung in the ceiling and it created a cozy and festive atmosphere. I loved the unicorn drink! The food was good.

Review by AnnetteI had an evening out with my husband a few days ago at Jacks in Barrie and we experienced a tiny hiccup from the kitchen but because our waitress Shauna had such an amazing and pleasant disposition we were able to rectify what could have been a not so great dining experience. When they say everything comes from the top, they are usually right and in this case the top was a manager named Sam who was so super attentive so professional so service oriented that not only did she win us over that night but there’s no doubt she won us over enough to have us return. I know most people go to restaurants for the food but I beg to differ. I think service and hospitality supersedes menu every time. So if the food is good it’s just a bonus. An establish run by this type of management/service team will have us coming back time and time again.Highly highly recommendAnnette
