Working with Richard to create our dream Oasis was great. He listened and guided us to incorporate all our ideas. His crew, Andrew and Jeff were phenomenal. They were punctual, efficient and very hard working. Work site was always cleaned up at the end of the day. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend.

We had received Richard’s name as a referral from Pioneer Pools who were building a beautiful custom in-ground pool for our dream backyard project. Given Pioneer’s outstanding reputation as a company, I couldn’t imagine they would risk that reputation referring a Landscaping company that was nothing less than exceptional. Rich listened to what I had envisioned in my mind and showed me examples of work he had completed for other clients that looked even better than what I had imagined in my mind. He then discussed with me other possibilities (which were endless) and how it could be incorporated into the overall plan. So many choices and designs and I welcomed them all but at the same time needed to stay within my budget. Rich was very sensitive to the budget and somehow made everything work. Not once did I feel pressured or hesitant to ask him an endless amount of questions. He was respectful, articulate and very easy to work with. My favourite aspect of the process was meeting him on separate occasions at the stone yard and nursery to look at examples as well hand pick certain plants, shrubs and trees. I really felt like I was getting exactly what I wanted and was very involved for some aspects and hands off for the things I wasn’t sure of and I simply put my trust in him. Given his previous work projects he had showed me, it was really easy to let him fully take the wheel and do his thing. He had told me early on that I could be as much or as little involved as I pleased.His crew work very efficiently and we’re mindful of not leaving a mess at the end of the day and I found them to be very polite and amazing at their jobs.Distinctive Landscapes have another secret weapon in Davis who is an expert in flowers, plants and trees. He was instrumental in talking to me about the pros and cons of various plants that I never would have considered on my own.The overall experience was exceptional and I would not hesitate to recommend Distinctive Landscapes for anyone looking for quality, professionalism and above all else, an amazing looking home that comes with endless compliments. Today I can sit in my backyard that looks like I have went to a 5-star resort but instead I am just stepping out my backdoor. Two years ago we decided to put a pool in. After meeting with several companies, we were put in touch with Richard from Distinctive Landscapes to discuss the soft/hardscaping. Once we met him, our decision was made. Richard is detail oriented, cares about quality, is responsive and will always make it right. We completed a full yard upgrade including pool, full landscaping (front and back) and new driveway. It was a huge project. It could be expected that there would possibly be bumps in the road along the way (particularly with Covid) but Richard rolled with it and time and time again made it clear why we trusted him from the outset. To me, it is not an issue if everything does not go as per plan but it does matter if the person you hired to do the work cares enough to correct it or find a solution. If customer service, quality workmanship and professionalism matter to you, look no further than distinctive landscapes. The whole team including Andrew and Geoff will make your dreams come true.
