I had the podi masala dosa and it was delicious. The podi wasn't too spicy and gave a nice hint of heat. We also had the beef curry porotta dish. The porotta was nice and flaky and the beef curry had great flavor.I would definitely recommend this place for some good south Indian food.

Had an amazing meal today at peacock. The Garlic Nan with butter chicken was very tasty. Also enjoyed their special masala wings and Fish fry. Servers were very friendly with the kids.

Vegetarian review:BEST DOSA IN TOWNThey serve great south indian cuisine.I ordered a mysore masala and podi masala dosa. OMG! The size of the dosa was giagantic, proper south indian dosa size. This is the perfect place for dosa lovers, sambhal is delicious, nariyal chutney is perfection, and the crisp pf dosa is just wow. After 6 months finally my cravings for dosa is fulfilled in Halifax <3Service is also great, they are really sweet and attentive.Ambience was minimal and soothing.Prices of dosa is reasonable compared to other places along with double size when compared.This is a perfect 10/10 place. ♥️P.S. - Smell of mysore masala was soooo tempting, i was not able to resist to even take a picture.

I have ordered mutton biryani, the quantity could've been a little generous. However, the biryani was flavorful and mild, very tasty nizami style biryani garnished with fried onion and cashews. I rate it 4.2/5 just because the mutton was not fully cooked but well marinated. We have also ordered chole Bature which was tasty and decent.

Visited Peacock on my holidays. Tried masala dosa, nan, butter chicken, nidhi porotta and kizhi biriyani. All tasted awesome and authentic. Staff were very kind and lovely atmosphere.Worth a visit if you are an Indian food lover, Highly recommended.

I had the most amazing chicken Briyani. Wrapped in banana leaves wth the authentic aromas and huge portion size complete with 6 pieces of chicken raisins and cashews it was absolutely delectable. Well done. It would feed 2-3 people.Next time I’m trying the Dosai.

We went today first time to try the food. Honestly worst food i have ever tried . Naan was served cold and looked it was made like hours before . Ordered mysore dosa taught it will be good. So salty and same it was cold. Sambhar was served cold as well and when i requested to reheat it was cold . Please dont waste your money by going there and trying the food there. They are better restaurants you can visit and try food. My husband tried haryali chaap and it was not worth paying 12.99. Worst food ever

During Jul (Dec. 23rd), my daughter wanted to eat something spicy to celebrate it, so we thought we would try something different and give Peacock Modern Indian Cuisine a try.I ordered a veggie Dosa which was very tasty and I considered it to be mild spicy. My wife ordered their weekly special (forget the name, not on the regular menu) but it was 3 layers of bread with egg omlete, beef and chicken cooked in banana leaf which she really enjoyed and she considered to be medium spicy. My daughter had the beef curry which she found on the spicy side for her. We both tried it and it was a heavier spice but still full of flavour.It is a different setup there when it comes to ordering than we were used to. You go to the counter and order your food, but they brought it to our table. Once we figured that out it was all good.We were hungry and quite honestly I forgot to take pictures of the food but it was very visually appealing as well as delicious. The restaurant was clean and well kept and I did visit the rest room before we left which was also clean as well.My only critique would be I would recommend having maybe a couple options for sauces at different spice intensities. My family really enjoys the robust flavours of indian cuisine but some dishes can be spicer than we would like. If there were milder spice options it may open the door to more people to try and enjoy your food. Just some food for thought.Overall, we enjoyed the food and will be back to try more menu items. Thank you.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Peacock Modern Indian restaurant, an authentic Kerala restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, setting the tone for a remarkable dining experience.Now, let's talk about the star of the show, the food. Each dish I tried (mostly ordered online) was an absolute delight. The menu was extensive, offering a wide range of options with weekly specials to suit all palates.The standout dish for me was the chatti chor, an absolute must-try for any first-time visitor. Kizhi and Nidhi porotta are also so delicious.
