HealthVue Medical Clinic

I had transfered to healthvue Cambie in 2016 with Dr. Faulkner he was a really good Dr Would give him 5 stars but he retired. Then I got Dr.Wong he was not as friendly didn't want to discuss much and said he had to go often to another patient and I was always left with unanswered questions, but he did help me just not as friendly and nice. Now he has retired and I am left without a Dr, the new dr said he is full and never got an email about the instructions to change.. last time it was automatically. Dr Parrot who I saw in 2019 was very rude.. The Cambie staff is always really nice though and the Steveston staff is not as friendly. Hope they can still help me.

The doctors are fine but the hours and availability of service aren't consistent. It seems hit and miss. If you want to go, make sure to call first to confirm they are open and that doctors are taking walk-ins.

Very rude reception stuff. They barely pick up the phone and even if they do they put on hold for more than 20 minutes. Hard to book appointments with doctors. My family physician dr So Rachell is kind and nice but she’s not available often. This place needs strong management team honesty as they clearly not good at scheduling nor at customer service

Staff are terribly rude. All of them. They put everyone on hold and leave them on hold or they don't pick up the phone.There is never a walk in doctor available. If there is its usually gets filled up within the first hour or 2 of the day.Their hours are wrong and always changing that they never update them.The staff is terribly rude. Not sure why. I sincerely hope these women are not future doctors or nurses.The doctors on call are quick to get you in and out. Don't feel like you have a chance to tell them everything because you feel rushed.This use to be called cambie medical but its the same on the inside. Poor service and arrogant receptionists.

I called to make and appointment and was told they only take walk-ins, fine no problem. I asked if there was a better time of day or day of week to drop in. The only reply I got was it's depends. Ok so the next day I drop in and they say, there done taking walk-ins for the day all i get is sorry. Every other clinic i have been to would at least have some suggestions on how to get in, i find it hard to believe it that randomly that you can't even recommend a time of day, or give me some idea of what to expect. They just simply didn't care.

Dr parrott's ways of communication at times, is without compassion and understanding where the patient is at. I don't know if he is aware or just ignorant when it comes to being sensitive to patients. It is hard to find a doctor who listens, shows compassion and patient to their patients. The ones available no longer take new patients.

WARNING!! To all current and potential patients. Watch out for Dr David Lam! I've been seeing him for several visits but upon review of my MSP billings (through my health insurance company), we had noticed he had fraudulently billed several visits. He even labelled me as COPD to bill extra. I don't have COPD!! I suffered from Asthma as a child and no longer have respiratory problems. Please check with MSP re: him and report him if there is fraud. I do not believe I am alone. We need to stop these fraudulent billings as a responsible tax payers!!!

It is next to impossible to get an appointment with Dr. Parrott and when you can wait weeks to get in, he doesn't have time to listen or help. My son and I are always left waiting weeks, sometimes months for test results and sometimes we never get them at all. Like today. We're waiting on serious blood test results, had a phone call appointment booked for 40 minutes ago and no call. Now the office is closed.

Didn't bring my son to daycare today because I had a virtual appointment with Dr. So. 20 minutes before the scheduled appointment, it was cancelled. Patients are penalized for cancelling appointments with short notices, physicians should be too. We also have to move things around our schedule to make this work.LikeShare

Avoid this clinic. Doctors are always late and very unprofessional. Appt was at 1:45 and the doctor shows up at 2:35. 50 mins late!! Not helpful at all.
