Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Halifax - Dartmouth

Appalling.The staff could not have been less interested checking me in. Did not offer me any bottles of water.Did not advise when breakfast was.Did not advise where any amenities were.The other staff were busy standing around having a tea party!I was carrying a bag whilst using a cane.....nobody bothered to ask if I needed help.The water slide barely works.....my eldest had to hold onto the sides and push to go down.The pool was dirty BUT one of the hot tubs was FILTHY! A layer of dirt/mud lined the bottom of it! Disgusting.Then lets talk about the dog that diarrhead all in an elevator. It took them 45 minutes to clean it but did a terrible job......you could still see the outline of it the next day. I have photos!Or how about the mouldy bathroom? I have photos of that as well!Not worth half the rate we paid and we will stay across the street at the Marriott for the same price when we come back to Halifax.

BEWARE BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS HOTEL. They allow families in town for hockey tournaments to run, stomp, and play stick hockey in the hallways, they allow the parents to get drunk in the hallways, and they allow dogs to run loose in the hallways. When I complained to the front desk and to security, I was told there's nothing I can do about it". Yes I understand you can't force these immature grown adults back into their rooms

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn Hotel in Dartmouth and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The hotel was impeccably maintained and the location was ideal, with a plethora of shopping and dining options right at our doorstep. Plus, the nearby cineplex was a great addition for entertainment. It was a short drive to several factory outlet stores, including big names like Guess, Gap, and Banana Republic, as well as IKEA.Our kids had a blast in the large pool with the slide, while the adults enjoyed the added luxury of the hot tub. We also appreciated spending time in the well-kept lobby with friends.The complimentary breakfast was certainly enough to start our day on a positive note. I was very pleased with the quality of our stay overall.Overall, I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn in Dartmouth for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. The hotel was well-maintained, had plenty of amenities to keep us entertained, and provided a great location to explore the surrounding area.

The food is wonderful, as is the location. The staff are great too. However, trying to sleep at night here is not an easy task. The walls may not be soundproofed enough; throughout the night I heard doors slamming, people talking in other rooms, footsteps from the floor above us, etc. Not sure if it’s the hotel itself or if there are just noisy guests staying here right now.

We stayed there for 2 nights with our kids. The room was clean, and staff were polite. Reasonable size pool with slide, however water was a bit cold. nonetheless, kids had great fun. A very good breakfast. It is located next to the shopping area. Ample free parking and good price. I would certainly recommend and would stay there in future as well.

The included breakfast was much better than we expected! There was cereal, toast, hot eggs and bacon, and a diy waffle station! The attendants were friendly and helpful. Complementary coffee and lemon water in the lobby, and a pool and waterslide.

We stayed here instead of in downtown Halifax to SAVE $300/night. It’s a great, newly renovated hotel in an awesome location with ample parking. The beds and pillows were comfy and the shampoo and toiletries provided are chemical free and eco friendly. Super close to lots of restaurant and shopping options. Highly recommend checking this out instead of spending $500-600/night in Halifax.

The beds were very comfortable, room very clean and it was nice and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the morning free hot breakfast was an awesome way to start the day. The pool and slide look amazing and we should have brought our swimsuits.

Fantastic pool area. Two smaller pools kept at about bath temperature, a main pool about 5 feet deep and a very fun slide. Very family friendly.Rooms are clean, might have a few spots of wear but very comfortable. Staff has been very friendly
