Going to the Nutcracker every few years is a family tradition. Usually we have floor seats, but this year we were up on the top balcony. It was a beautiful show with wonderful dancing, and i loved all the Canadiana touches. I found those pale pinky beige costumes were pretty dull from the balcony. I recall the show being more colourful.

I had my daughter in classes elsewhere, and moved my daughter here because I did not feel she was learning much, and her options to learn tap was to repeat the same mixed ballet/tap class she was already taking.RWB has been a blessing. In just her first year, her skill, her poise, everything improved like night and day! She now takes 4 different dance classes and is hungry for more. The teachers also provide valued guidance and feedback. We love it here :)

I saw The Nutcracker for the first time this year. Such a phenomenal ballet! The orchestra played beautifully, the dancers were brilliant and the set changes were magical! The scene in the snowy forest was mesmerising! I have seen a handful of ballets performed by RWB, (Dracula, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, and Alice in Wonderland) and they've all been fantastic! However, the Nutcracker has been the best one yet!

We have had season tickets to the RWB for 30 years.I attended one performance featuring Evelyn Hart and was hooked. I have never seen anything as close to perfection as her dancing. As much as she is missed, I still love watching the RWB perform. Both Winnipeg and Canada are fortunate to have such a jem.

Such a beautiful work of art! We seen The Nutcracker yesterday afternoon on Boxing Day, the performance was amazing, my favourite part was the ending of the first half with the deep blue backdrop, snow covered tree and snow falling. Even the cute little polar bears were so charming!! Everything about this play was perfect. This was my first time, I will definitely be making this a Christmas tradition :)

I had the privilege to attend and see Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet performing the Nutcracker at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver Canada. Their performance was awesome and very well directed. My hat off to the entire Ballet. Bravo!!!

Last week I went to the concert hall to see The Royal Wpg.Ballet co. perform Swan Lake. Many years ago I saw Swan Lake performed by the Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet Co. in England, and I was hooked on ballet. The 'Swan Lake' I saw last week was absolutely stunning,- the dancers and the orchestra were wonderful, and the scenery,- just amazing,- the backdrop of the lake, trees and swans was a work of art. Thank-you all for a magical evening. Proud to call you the Royal WINNIPEG Ballet Co.

Highly recommended for anyone from 4 years old to 60+, they offer recreation from September to next year May, once a week from ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary to lyrics. Just check their website and catch up with the latest courses. Both my daughter and myself learn ballet lessons and they have professional teachers to help you learn from the scratch, depending on your level you can chose what you want.Highlight is the fee, 600 per whole period per class per person is super affordable, and for boys the fee is even cheaper 200+, and I have seen auntie and uncle to dance and perform too.End of season each student will have a chance to perform in the theatre ( formal and fun).Just check out this year and join. Have fun!

I have seen Dracula and The Nutcracker a couple times, always great! This review is on their customer service. I bought tickets for The Nutcracker in October. I then picked up a Friday night shift at the hospital on December 23 without thinking..I knew no one would take the shift for me! I was so worried I wasted $160 on tickets. I called The Royal Winnipeg Ballet expecting to have to pay more or get a not my problem" as it was my own fault.. but I was amazed! The girl on the phone changed my tickets to a different date with the same seats and mailed the tickets to me. No questions asked and it took less than five minutes! I am so very thankful and impressed!"
