Brant County SPCA

Adopted our beautiful kitten Squeaks in January. They are fantastic there. It had been a while since we had a fur baby and I had some concerns and questions later and they were great. He was fostered well, good manners and litter trained. But most of all he makes us happy, he's a happy playful kitten

Adopted our first cat here when we first moved to brantford 8 years ago. Was a great experience they were patient and let us see a few different cats before we went home with ours. Would recommend as I still remember the good experience this many years later.

All the staff is very friendly, they take very quality care to the shelter animal pets.I have volunteered for national cupcake day in February 2020 and had very pleasant experience. I will keep volunteering at this place for the benefits of shelter animal pets.Love this place.

We had such a positive experience with Brantford’s SPCA. We took Smokey and Bullet (Jack now) home yesterday (back inJuly)as foster to adopt. Staff was really friendly, helpful and caring. You could easily see the animals have been well cared for. They gave us all the information we needed, and some litter to take home as we have cats and didn’t need to start from scratch with supplies. They will do so if you need though! They gave us what history and backstory they had about these two sweetheart cats and now we have two new best buddies in their new home! These guys are sweet and loving and very obviously devoted to each other. First night in our house and they were playing with us and each other! I’d recommend anyone looking for a friend to visit this SPCA, you won’t be disappointed ❤️

I called late one night after finding a sweet little kitten on the side of the road. One of the staff walked me through what I could do for him since I had no cat supplies. She was so caring, and put me at ease even though the poor little kitten was sneezing up blood. He stayed with us overnight and we went to the SPCA in the morning to get him checked out. He underwent a long course of treatment for an infection at the SPCA before he was ready for adoption. By then I was so attached I had to make him mine. Jack is our sweet, playful, fearless boy now! Thank you so much for everything you all did for him <3

Awful shelter. ED has been in her position for YEARS yet has done nothing to get moving on their new location. Sure it takes time and money but it's ridiculous. Animals left alone from 6pm on with no night shift. Cruelty at its finest.

What great staff! This is a No Kill" facility! They could really benefit from a new building. Casino money could go here!"

I don’t have enough positive words to describe my experience with the Brant County SPCA. I initially put in an application for a dog, but it was determined that he was not the right fit for my family. A day later, they called and said that they had received more dogs and they believed one of them would be a great fit for us. The next day, we met the dog, and the day after, we took Nugget (now named Poppy) home! The SPCA provided us with so much knowledge, support, and supplies to ensure our first few days with our new family member would be great. The staff truly cares about their animals and the familys they go to, are completely open to answers any/all questions, and are a complete joy to deal with. Super friendly staff with people and animals. Help my brother take a dog he couldn’t look after anymore. Super sad but he did it for the best of the dog. The ladies their were super helpful. Desiel is a loving pup. Hope he finds a good family and a good home. ❤️q

I called the SPCA this morning and spoke to a lady regarding a puppy(Baylee). We emailed yesterday with the adoption filled out. When I was speaking to her today she wasn’t really pleasant. I asked her if I could see the little puppy and she said there were a few inquiries regarding the specific puppy. I’m not sure what the process is for adopting but I found it odd that we weren’t considered. We went to see the dogs on Saturday but the SPCA was closed due to shortage of staff. Very disappointing experience!
