Norelco Cabinets

Durwin our cabinet designer was amazing from start to finish, no detail was missed, however small with impeccable professionalism . We met with him on numerous occasions to go through colours, materials and designs and was always approachable with ideas we had. We’ve never had so many compliments on our house from the kitchen to the bathroom to our basement bar. From the cabinets to the quartz and everything in between he was brilliant. Would highly recommend Durwin Werner and Norelco cabinets for quality custom craftsmanship.

We moved into our new house a month ago and the cabinets are lovely. Durwin at Norelco did a super job. The initial layout by another company had problems and Durwin stepped in and fixed it all. He also came after installation and cheerfully did some adjustments and small repairs. We are so happy with our kitchen and bathroom cabinets!

The only way to describe our experience with Norelco Cabinets would be “our worst kitchen nightmare”. Almost a year after they submitted their original quote, we are still without a functional kitchen. The incompetence and indifference to quotation errors, measurement errors, design errors, quality and installation issues and poor communication has been unbelievably stressful and disappointing. We have had five kitchens built prior to this one and the complete and utter lack of professionalism and competence shown by Norelco has been very different from our prior experiences.

We used Norelco to help us design our new kitchen and provide all the cabinets on a big renovation. They were very knowledgeable and helpful through the decision process while choosing the right fit for us. The cabinets were delivered on time and the installer was superb at his craft. Great follow up after for minor adjustments. We were very happy with the quality of service and love the way the kitchen turned out! Thanks guys!

Our “experience” with Norelco began well enough.Initial meetings with Corrina were positive, and after all is said and done, Norelco is lucky to have a designer of her caliber working for them.The initial design phase went well, and then once we had paid the required amount to get things going the delays started. Norelco will likely rebut me, by saying it was due to supply problems; and they are likely right. However the other delays and errors had nothing to do with Covid, they are a direct result of poor company policy and sub-standard execution of plans, by the production dept .Once the production dept. began attempting to put Corina’s ideas into practice the flaws in the company began to show. The under cabinet lighting was not correctly designed into the cabinets requiring my Journeyman electrician to take a full day to disassemble, drill and reassemble, so the wiring could be run through the cabinets. We payed the extra to the electrician.The delivery crew broke the back wall of the island, so we sent it back. It became apparent after 2 weeks of waiting that the stock was not going to be available to re-build the piece. So we took it back and put the broken side facing inward. We feel this supply problem was due to us choosing higher end products.Our stove and cook top do not fit, this is after we have finally given up on Norelco and decided to live with the product, the main island is 1\4”, at least too small, and the fitment of the main counter sink is similar, in error. We supplied the correct documents for the appliances we ordered.We will never again use a company that requires payment in full before beginning a job. I have come to realize this is, likely, how Norelco stays afloat. We were able to hold back $600.00 of the $30000.00 we paid. Norelco will likely rebut me saying they did not collect the $600.00, which they did not, however it is a small consequence in the bigger picture of the reno.In Norelco’s defense they did try to rectify the problems they created, with at least 10 return trips to our house, to try and fix their mistakes, once they even brought back the new piece that was built wrong the second time. Each return trip requiring me to protect our new floor and make allowances for them to be in our house.Neither my wife or I have a cell phone, so perhaps the owner would be better at replying to texts than answering old fashioned phone calls and emails, as it was not uncommon for us to call 5 or more times to get a reply.Should you go with Norelco for your reno, I wish you all the best…

1 month added to original install date only 1 week after contract signed. Certainly on the pricey side- $8500 to do a fairly small and basic suite kitchen cupboards & island. Quality installers and decent quality cabinets. Appliance specs were not followed and cabinet didn't allow fridge to be installed- a 3 week turnaround to get it fixed. We're happy with the end result but there were some bumps in the road. UPDATE: After one year the cupboards below kithcen sink have all split. We have cupboards upstairs installed ten years ago under the sink under the same exposure to moisture- which is minimal and they are still perfect. When spending this kind of money on cabinets, for upgraded paint, it should be brought to the customers attention that moisture will destroy the cabinets. They offered to replace the cabinet doors but at full charge. I definitely wouldn't recommend Norelco's materials, warranty or service. That combined with huge delays and mistakes made during install causing additional delays, it hasn't been a good experience at all.

Norelco created custom cabinets for our garage and we are highly satisfied with the outcome, both in terms of color and design. The installation process was done expertly. In the near future, we will be remodelling our kitchen and Norelco will be our go-to choice for this project as well.

We worked with Jamie at Norelco in late 2019 for our kitchen renovation and we are so happy we did! We priced out alternative options (including IKEA) because we heard Norelco was expensive but that turned out to not be the case. Norelco offered great value and much higher quality than comparable options. Our kitchen renovation results are amazing! Our kitchen looks expensive and is well built and we spent without our planned budget. This is a no hassle, no greasy sales tactics, honest place. They offer a large range of materials, colours, styles, and price points. Jamie is unbelievably easy to work with and really made a difference in what we chose. Highly recommend.
