Not expected this restaurant in the area . But surprised , very traditional Chinese food & tasty, steam egg pudding, stir fry celery with chicken , broccoli, sweat sour pork, green bean chicken with black bean sauce. Chinese Hylocereus undatus (霸王花soup, which is good to drink in summer season . We empty the plates.Come in other day , food was great, had other different dish . Stir fry bean sprout ,green bean & Chinese mushrooms. Short rib beef was great , steam fish too.The owner run the restaurant for 4 years.

Pros/consGreat sweet and sour pork same with beef and vegetables and deep fryer prawnsNoodles did not taste like the normal chow meinOrder online said 45-50 mins as I could not get ahold of anybody in phone due to it being busy but order was ready in 13 min when I accepted and planned for 45 minsSo sweet and sour pork was soggy by time for back to trailer which was disappointingBut better for sure than Canada cafe except their noodle was betterStaff was amazing at pick upGreeted at door and very polite and courteous

We had a superior experience when us 4 ladies had lunch yesterday June 22, 2023We were sitting by the beautiful aquarium.Ordered a meal for 4 plus received a free dish for our order!The food was delicious, fresh tasting and ample amounts.The server was professional, engaging in conversation and provided timely service!Loved the older decor.HIGHLY RECOMMEND when you are in Merritt

Maybe it's because we are from the states but what a great deal on the family meal for 10. Food was great and was more than the 10 of us could eat. Service was also great. Over all great dining experience and will visit again next time we come up to visit the family.

Food was subpar at best. We were the only table when we arrived and a few more came after. The service was slow and that’s because they are understaffed. The waitress tried her best to service the 5 tables. The decor looks very outdated. Seat covers are worn off.Server - 5Food - 2Decor/Ambience - 1

Food was subpar, at best. Tried eating there a few times and was always disappointed. Not sure what happened because they used to be excellent. Won ton soup was semi decent. The staff is excellent.

Bamboo Panda Canada Chinese Restaurant
Passing through Merritt, I googled the reviews for a few Chinese food places, and this one had mostly good reviews...we should have gone with the lower reviewed ones. Once we were seated with menus, we had to wait a good 10-15 mins for a server to come back to take our order. Food came quicker, but had to ask for forks, and then napkins. Chow mein was good, but everything had a gingery flavour, too much for my liking. The chicken balls were gross, we packed our leftovers to go, but left almost the whole order of those on the table.
