Inquired about an available dog. After 4 days no response either way whether the dog was still available or not. Highly unprofessional. Do not recommend.UPDATE: After 8 months I got a reply. EIGHT MONTHS!! They might get better reviews if they had an updated website that at the very minimum sent out an automatic message acknowledging applications. Interesting to note that local guides get pets and give good reviews. I highly suggest using another rescue whose adoption fees are not so costly and don't make excuses. If they don't have the time to do a proper job they shouldn't be doing this.

my daughter liked the dog all week crying and waiting for her friend. The shelter did not write or let you know that they gave the dog to someone else. It is very unprofessional on the part of the shelterI didn't get the dog I was interested in because of the growl of my current dog. I don't know how you decide who is suitable and who is not? I am a cynologist and I know that the dog I was interested in was suitable for me. I was the first in the application and I devote my whole life to dog training. Your decision-making is very unprofessional.

Marshall's is a wonderful group of people who dedicate their own precious time to helping dogs who have often been let down by their first homes. Having fostered for them and adopted one of our precious dogs from them I can only say good things.Reviews about the rescue not responding in a timely manner is unfair. These people have full time jobs and families and they state so clearly that they will only reach out if you have been selected to proceed further with your application (having adopted two dogs from rescues I can attest that this is true with most rescues. I have also applied for dogs that I got no response to). These people work tirelessly to help dogs from all sort of situations find the home they deserve. Maybe things don't always work perfectly, but their mission is a perfect one.Thank you Marshall's, you, your volunteers and all rescues are beacons of hope for dogs who are lucky enough to find their way into your care.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Marshall’s Dog Rescue. I know first hand the work that is involved in fostering and volunteering with a rescue. It can be a full time job on its own. Every volunteer I dealt with during our adoption process was pleasant, professional, and above all friendly. It is sooo important to remember that this rescue is run by a group of dedicated VOLUNTEERS. They give second chances to dogs on top of a full-time jobs and raising families. We are so in love with our sweet Darcy. I appreciate the care that was put into making sure we were the right home for her. She came to us showing how loved and well taken care of she was while being fostered.Thank you a million times to ALL the volunteers, but first and foremost, Sarah.

If this is a foster based rescue then why do they not provide a decent bio about each dog. Why do they put “unknown” beside Housetrained? I fostered once and if they have the dog in a home then the answers would be Yes, No or Working on it. Unknown does not make sense.

I've gotten two dogs from there and I love them with all my heart. They were very well taken care of before I adopted them and I don't think I'd go anywhere else for my next adopion

A quality rescue. The vet their fosters well and show great consideration for the animals they save.Update:For the most part I do recommened. The dogs are wonderful and the fees are reasonable. We fostered two northern dogs and ended up adopting our first. Unfortunately, Joanne Marshall was incredibly rude to both myself and the people who ended up adopting our 2nd foster and was also rude to another foster family. She did not like that I held her accountable for the lack of communication, her disorganized scheduling, and her rude behaviour. When people do that, their options are to own their behaviour or deflect. As a result of commenting to her on behalf of the adoptive family, I was removed from the foster program. There is a clear ego problem with the owner. She is more interested in ego than helping the dogs... and just to be clear she's very concerned with helping the dogs... that are in need of foster care. She would be further ahead delegating to other volunteers which would help to increase communication and maintaining a positive experience. Sandy Ringrose in this agency was excellent to work with so if you do decide to deal with this foster agency I would reach out to her.We will continue to foster and have connected with another agency. As another foster person, who is also affiliated with Marshalls Pet Rescue, said to me there are lots of agencies out there and we do not have to tolerate being treated poorly when we are volunteering our time, our homes, and our own personal finances.

Absolutely amazing organization. The love and care they show to these dogs in need is truly a beautiful thing. I really appreciate the time and effort they put in to ensure that these pups will be well taken care of and loved after having a rough start or going a tough time in their lives. It is even more incredible what they have been able to accomplish with an all volunteer based team. Thank you Marshall's Rescue!

I am not impressed with how they work. They ask u questions and when u give them an honest answer with asking what circumstances were u get denied right away. They r not actually looking out for the welfare of the animal. So many good people wanting to adopt but it's like u have to lie or u get denied. Will never let anyone I know deal with them.
