Thanks Paul, my family and I had a great experience of a sailing day. You are an excellent teacher; very patient and calm with all us and excellent host, we loved the day trip.

Just completed the 5-day sailing course with our instructor Paul! We had an amazing time! Paul is a 10/10 instructor. He’s extremely knowledgeable, calm, and VERY patient. He instilled confidence in the whole crew and I felt comfortable asking him anything. We learned a lot in five days, like how to ensure safety, dock the boat, read navigation charts, anchor, get the sails up/down and so much more... If you want to learn how to sail, this is the place to come! Looking forward to our next sailing adventure. Thanks again, Paul :)

Recently did the 5 day cruise and learn. Paul is a great instructor, very patient and thorough. Food was exceptional the whole trip. It doesn’t get much better than cruising around the gulf islands with good people learning something new! I would recommend to anyone thinking about learning to sail, and hope to be back in the future for the intermediate course!

We just had a 3-day private adventure sail trip with Paul. This program is amazing, it is perfect for a family or small group of friends. The boat is clean and cosy. Captain Paul is professional and friendly. We have learned so much knowledge and valuable tips during the whole journey. He is that kind of tutor who guides you, lets you find enjoyment from the sailing. The most noteworthy thing is that his patience and kindness make our 3-years-old little son falls into the love of sailing. As a newcomer from Asia, my English is not good enough to express all my thoughts, so all I can say is Paul's service is safe, professional, enjoyable and affordable. I highly recommend him.

I did a 5 day sailing trip with Paul (and 2 other drew members) in June 2023 and I had a wonderful time. Paul's expereince, calm demanour and quiet teaching style made the sailing fun and the learning easy. The boat was excellent and the food terrific. All in all I highly recommend taking a course or just going for a cruise with Big Blue Sailing...you won't regret it!

Karl and I thoroughly enjoyed our introduction to cruising course we took with Paul this past week. Paul was an excellent teacher and host for our 5-day excursion. We toured the gulf islands, ate wholesome, tasty food and came out of the experience feeling confident in our introductory sailing knowledge. I would recommend this course for those looking to learn the basics of cruising and looking to build confidence independently sailing a live aboard boat. If you decide to take this course in November, remember to pack very warm clothing but look forward to the hot chocolate Paul keeps handy to warm you up!

We feel very confident in recommending Big Blue...best sailing experience ever. We were ages 17. 70, and 69.Paul's explanations were so clear.( natural teacher)..He even brought out small visuals to show boats approaching and right of way. We have never retained so much from a sailing. I think it is because he is calm, fun, and his teaching style is simple.Oh..and we happened upon some good wind too...loved the speed..but, no worries, he asked if we were comfortable with it first.Book it..you won' t regret it...

My Wife, Toddler and I joined Paul on Credo III for an amazing 3 days cruising around some of the southern gulf islands. We spent a night at South Pender island and another at Galiano. We had absolutely the best time as a family and Paul is a very patient skipper and also an excellent cook. But most of all he was wonderful with our little girl. All of our boxes were ticked for an enjoyable cruise, solid boat, good wind, plenty of sailing, good food, opportunities to explore ashore and a beautiful setting. Paul is very knowledgeable and sails within the comfort levels of those on board, we hit some reasonably strong winds against tide on our last day and having a reef in, made the crossing fun an exciting rather than a nightmare.We would rejoin Paul again in an instant.

Just completed the 5 day livaboard course. Came in knowing little to nothing, came out with a great grasp of sailing. The pace is comfortable but over 5 days many things are covered. Highly recommend. Paul is a great guy, he’ll answer your questions making sure you understand.
