Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kingston Central, an IHG Hotel
What a fabulous property! Right off the main highway, and only 10mins to waterfront. Check in staff (funny blonde young woman) was seamless, her wit and intelligence rare. The complimentary breakfast was well provisioned, and kudos to Wendy, who cared for us while we ate. She was genuine, authentic, interested in the wellbeing of every single person who entered the dining room. Just an amazing place, and it will be out “go to.”

UPDATE:This holiday offered us an excellent stay and Greta value for the price point. The breakfast was excellent with great variety and the staff were all super friendly. The pool and hot-tub were clean and the stay was an overall success. We will now make this our goto spot in Kingston.This might be an odd way to start a review but, I’m staying there in 2 days from now and you see, we were in a bind and booking a room on what is a crazy busy time was getting a bit stressful. I met the staff at the hotel and what a fine bunch of folks. They took care of our multi room request and the price was outstanding and the front desk staff were super helpful. I will update after the stay!I’ll keep you posted after our stay. I just wanted to give this hotel a sincere thanks for looking after us.

Great rooms, modern and fun decor, flooring not carpet which is great. Huge room and seating area, big bathroom, amazing bed and choices of pillows. Nice Dove soap and lotion. Super nice staff everywhere. Good breakfast. Great eating area and lots of seating areas in lobby. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Not impressed with parking fee on hotel property. We stayed during a snow storm and the plow passed in the parking lot in the morning but blocked all the cars in with the snow it plowed through. It took us 30 minutes with help from other drivers to get out. All cars were blocked in. The plow company or hotel NEED to plow or shovel behind the cars so they can get out. We cannot be left there blocked in.

The hotel was in a great location only 15 mins from the main hub, lots of restaurants and stores in walking distance.Pros: The room was clean, and the housekeeping staff for our floor were awesome, especially Lindsey.Laundry is free, but only 1 set of machines.Cons: Hotel a bit run down, beds uncomfortable, jetted tub sprayed everywhere, room darkening curtains are too short to keep light out and curtains don't close all the way, we used hair clips to keep them closed.Pool had large chunks out of the tile, and the steps looked rusted. The ceiling was chipping.Food was not supposed to be in the pool area, but no staff came in and out to keep an eye, and there were cookies and muffin debris on the pool deck. 2 days we went in.Sanitation Schedule" posted in elevator was pre signed - it was 7pm

The hotel was convenient and clean with a good quality breakfast and the pool was good too. What makes this stand out was the service, extremely friendly and efficient on arrival, genuinely welcoming throughout the stay, and hugely helpful when I forgot something in the room. A short stay, but a memorable experience. Easily the best of the three similar hotels I stayed in on the trip

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kingston Central, an IHG Hotel
Stayed here a few weeks ago over a weekend with my teenager. It was a fantastic stay! I needed a late check out and the gentleman (wish I would’ve have gotten his name) was so helpful and attentive. Not sure what I would have done had he not been able to facilitate that.The pool was great, hot tub was more of a Luke warm bath, breakfast was great, clean, tasteful and well appointed. There’s a Denny’s next door as well. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice big clean room, really good hot breakfast, kids loved pancake machine!!The room is big and bright and clean. No carpet which is greatlots of space.
