Citywide Sundecks and Railings

Can't recommend these guys enough.We have a massive deck that was rotting in several places due to years of west coast weather. Water damage plus some less than ideal original construction made this a very nasty project for any company to tackle.From initial consultation to end of construction we were certain we were in good hands. Can't say we would be as happy with some of the other fellows who came to quote us.Bob and Hunter were the lead construction guys. We fully trusted their knowledge, skills and experience throughout the process. Bob has to be a mathematician to have figured out and fixed all the various angles, gaps and varying floor and railing heights from the previous deck to make the new one right. And it's perfection. Not to mention, they were always on time and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day.We did a total renovation of our home so we know how trades work (or don't) and Bob, Hunter and Phil -- who installed the vinyl --were quite simply the best of the best.Paul, the Managing Director of Citywide, was always a pleasure to deal with if questions arose.This likely won't be the cheapest quote you get. That's probably a good thing.We have a gorgeous new reconstructed deck AND enjoyed peace of mind throughout the process, which Lord knows is priceless.Thank you Citywide!

Paul and his Team did an excellent job rebuilding my deck with new vinyl and railings. They took pride in their workmanship and was quick to respond when i had a question or concerns. Although they are not inexpensive, but i believe their pricing is fair . The quality of the finish product and the peace of mind i received, more than make it for the difference. I would definitely refer City Wide as an one stop solution to my friends and colleagues.

Paul and his crew were very professional from beginning to end and did an amazing job! The installer did a top quality job in building a new deck that will last for years!! Have no hesitation in recommending.

I highly recommend Citywide to anyone needing work done to their decks. I found a contractor who was willing and accommodating to meet me after work on a Friday for a site inspection to scheduling and completion of the deck within about two months. They rearranged their schedule so I didn't have to worry about it falling apart during the coming fall/winter season. Thank you Paul and your team for a great job!

This guys were awesome. Paul gave me a quote on Friday and the work was completed by Wednesday. Work included removing all the railings, removing all vinyl, replacing rotting plywood, reinforcing existing plywood and putting in new vinyl. There was a problem where the vinyl received did not match the sample, Paul contacted the supplier and within a couple of hours it was old sorted out. I highly recommend these guys.

Updated Review:As a follow-up to my last complaint regarding Rick at CityWide, I would like to note that we were contacted promptly by Paul Bulat who started CityWide. He immediately responded to us and booked a time to meet with us in person to address all the concerns regarding the job. Some of the concerns were not fixable but for those that were, he offered great solutions. He understood our concerns, noting Rick is a great worker and he worked with him for years. We were impressed by Paul's quick-to-action solutions. We would do business again with this company as we appreciated the steps he took to make things work. In the end, that is all you can ask for is to be heard when things don't go the way they should as in our case. He assured us this is not their standard of business and appreciated us for allowing him to address this situation in person.Previous Review: removed

We have two decks built into our roofline that needed new vinyl and possibly replacement of some of the underlying structure. Citywide came in with a competitive quote for the job and started a few weeks later, as did at least two weeks of torrential rain. Despite the very poor weather, they were able to keep working after tarping over the two decks and did a good job, on budget. Paul offered some good suggestions prior to the job and as the work went along. We found the company reasonable to work with and the crews hard working, considerate and polite. We are pleased with the results and would recommend Citywide to anyone looking to repair their decks.Update summer 2020: The drain in the upper floor deck started leaking into the dining room ceiling below. Since we were within their 5 year guarantee, I gave Citywide a call. They said they were busy but would come around in a few days. Two weeks and several phone calls and emails later, they stopped responding so I called in a plumber. We found the drain had never been connected to the piping. There was a gap across which I guess Citywide had expected the water to simply pour. We had earlier had a problem with a drain in the lower deck which I repaired myself. Disappointing end to what had been a good contractor story. Subtract a couple of stars.
