Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary South-Macleod Trail S, an IHG Hotel

So the gym wasn’t available but they still charge you full price for amenities that you cannot even use.So instead of working out I was going to swim lanes in the pool.Upon entering the pool there’s someone giving swimming lessons to the public.So I’m paying $200 per night to have access to these things and I can’t even swim my lanes because there’s swimming lessons.They shouldn’t allow swimming lessons in a private property. That should be done at a public pool so the people who pay to actually stay at your hotel can enjoy the pool.I’m deeply disappointed.I’m an IHG member. In total I’ve spent 400 nights with holiday inn and now I’m never going to stay at another holiday inn again. Half my life is spent in a hotel now and I’m not paying good money for a hotel that doesn’t care about it’s guests staying here.I’ve spent well over 50 thousand dollars with IHG and now you will never receive another penny, ever again.Edit:After speaking to Jen at the front desk who has the absolute worst attitude ever, I recorded our conversation and I’m sending it to corporate.I’ve read many bad reviews of terrible customer service. You guys should get rid of the dead weight in your company.Who you hire reflects your business.She’s too young and has way too much attitude to work in hospitality.Terrible.

Happy to have stayed here. The staff was so friendly and efficient. The breakfast food was very good—maybe the best free hotel breakfast I’ve had. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. Almost got scared off by other negative reviews, but I’m happy we decided to stay here. One previous reviewer mentioned mold in the bathrooms. Our bathroom did have some amount of mold in the shower area. I wasn’t too worried, just kept the fan running while we stayed there.

this hotel has been absolutely wonderful the rooms to the bathroom were really good especially the free breakfast! The breakfast with cinnamon buns was amazing. I wish I had time to have more of it! The staff were so nice and friendly and the vending machines had pretty reasonable prices

Booked through Expedia. The air condition does not work properly. It's an older model thermostat. I called the front desk. He came, checked it, adjusted the thermostat, and tried to convince me it was working. It's barely blowing cool air. My family is having a difficult time sleeping due to how warm it feels inside our room. I called the front desk again and said it still feels too warm in our $289 a night room.He asked when I was going to check out. Odd question to ask because that has nothing to do with an aircondition issue. He then said he would try to find us fans.I am so disappointed @ 1:53am

At first when checking in at 11:30 on June 29th 2023 i was surprised that they changed my room from 2 large beds to 1 large bed , the staff member at front desk was so rude to me , we just have arrived from a long road trip from bc and we were tired . His excuse to change rooms was that room description was for 2 adults so they changed it to one bed without telling me!! Well , if room description says 2 large beds why changing it to one , nevertheless of number of people coming , you should keep my booking.Other staff ladies were so nice .Also didn't like that pool water is not changed daily.Didn't like that pancakes machine stopped working for 2 of the 5 days we stayed in and it was simple thing to do . The other lady did one thing and it worked right away. Also hot food was not avalible.Electricity plug in were not all working in room.I liked the room , clean hotel , there is laundry service for long stays but you need 12$ for each load (expensive 3 for washer , 3 for pod, double 3 for dryer as clothes will keep wet if you do it one time 24 min it should be 45min at least ).Over all good experience.
