Dollarama

Outrageously bad! Greedy! Forcing customers to use self-checkout by threatenning to take 10 minutes to get a cashier! Sorry, but they do not pay us shoppers to work the checkiout, so we are not doing their work for them. We are now shopping exclusively at the Dollar Store downtown Picton and are very happy to give them our business and our recommendation. Dollarama have crossed the line - It was bad enough that they more than tripled prices on things and they do not allow you to return items that are defective. They are taking advantage of seniors and the poor who depend on them due to low income. But this greedy grab is just too much and I suggest everyone shop at other stores instead.

Store open till 9 the young kid locked the doors at 8:40...not like you have to actually WORK there so atleast stay open till the right time!

I love the self checkouts, definitely quicker and easier when you have a couple items, more trickier when people have more then 10 things as it takes longer.

Four self cash outs. One cashier station with no cashier. The ladies ahead had been waiting a long time. They finally had to yell out. No one was around. Girl came and then called some one else to serve. More waiting.Worse still the self check outs were NOT wiped the whole time I was waiting and while I was served; they were still not cleaned. At least the cashier cleaned the station I had chosen. Call me old fashion but I'm not an employee and I'm not putting someone else out of a job. Not going back.

Please stop over hiring students and then firing them without them even being there for a month. It is completely irresponsible and I am appalled by the awful managing. Take the time to care about your student workers, because they need jobs, just like everyone else. And maybe hire the right amount of the bat so you don't go around randomly letting go of students without a reason. Very disappointed.

No employees in sight to offer assistance or clean up, all the checkouts available were self serve. Never shopping here again until real human beings are at the checkout.

Never shopping at your store again, atleast in Picton anyways. You want me to force me to be a cashier for free, you lost a customer. You only have 1 cashier desk, the rest is self serve and nobody is ever at the cashier desk. You want me to still shop at your store? I want a 10% discount for using your self-serve.

As far as stock goes, great store. But no check out cashiers!!! Self check out only! Hate that! Not all of your clients want to work for you as we're spending money in your store. It's not convenient and you're adding to unemployment. Replacing people at a crucial time when people need jobs is a greedy business decision. Lest we forget, you are indeed saving money - direct to your bottom line on the backs of your customers.

Love the Dollarama store chain....however I find the Dollarama store located in Picton, the staff can be a bit rude. Very pushy towards encouraging customers to use self checkouts, Even if requesting not too.
