We went here during one of the stops on our Alaskan cruise. Almost a year later, we still feel like the burgers we had there were probably the best we've ever had anywhere, and it comes up in mine and my wife's conversation sometimes (hence why I'm randomly leaving the review). I was given a clam chowder soup and garlic toast from here. It was awesome. It is now my fav place I went back got more. I look forward to trying other items from the menu.

Kaien Island Cafe
As mentioned previously, small place and dont be stressed how it looks like. It is clean and they cook and prepare fantastic meals (sandwiches). We had clam chowder with sandwich and it was fantastic. Sadly we are not from the area so we cannot go there often, but it would be definitely my fav place to go as I am soup lover. Dont forget your mask before entering and you could dine in or take away the food.

Point out, this place is a must eat at if you are travelling through, the sandwiches are the best. The food is amazing and the staff are fantastic. Family owned too!

Very quick and friendly service. Place is always nice and clean, tables and seats are always sanitized after every use. Food is always tasty and filling. Best cup of coffee in town

How can a burger be so delicious?! The K.I.C. burger was absolutely loaded!! Inordered mine with a mouthwatering side of tomato basil soup. My wife had a side of fries with gravy. All of it was great.This is a really unsuspecting spot. Don't let the decor deceive you, the food outdoes any trendy big-city burger joint. Just watch out for the well earned food coma that follows :-)

We ordered off Spyce, but I've been in the cafe itself. While it's simple in aesthetic, it's clean and quiet.Anyway, onto the order itself. My mother got the Scooby-Do, and I got the Cuban Panini. The orders arrived hot, and as always, the meals taste fantastic.The Scooby-Do is a monster, and loaded with flavor. It's probably my fav item on the menu, but my mom wanted to try. She's sold.I wanted to try the Cuban Panini, and wow! What a great choice. The bread is crispy, and it arrived warm. The pickle adds a nice little zest to lighten it up!The chef and his team never disappoint. I plan to go back for their tomato basil soup. It's a classic.

The best place to get a soup and sandwich for lunch in Prince Rupert. The staff are very friendly, and the food, no matter what you get, is always excellent. Highly recommend!
