Durham Medical Centre (Durham Ultrasound)

Went to this place for my dating ultrasound and I was quite happy with my experience. The receptionist is very nice and helpful. The technician is quite nice, knowledgeable and will answer your questions that’s within his medical practice.I sent my dad here recently as well to get his ultrasound and he had the same positive experience. The environment is as advertised on the pictures and the wait time isn’t bad. I think at most I only waited for 10 mins, other times I just walked right in.

Usually, I shy away from leaving any reviews..however I’m compelled to write a review on this location..we received a wonderful ultrasound sound service at this location and I could had given 10 stars if I’m allowed to..Technician and receptionist were amazing …technician was very knowledgeable and was able provide awesome service…we’ll visit again for sure whenever we need the ultrasound services..

Wow! The staff here are amazing and so kind and pleasant, they treat you with so much respect and dignity. I highly recommend this ultrasound clinic!! I would give more than five stars if I could for their exceptional service and care to their patients.

This place is the best. I've had nothing but excellent experiences at Durham Medical Centre. The receptionist is responsive, caring, and friendly. The ultrasound technician is knowledgable, thorough and personable. I've been to other popular places in Whitby and there is no comparison. Can't recommend this place enough.

This sonography was the best I’ve had yet. Juan, a radiologist from Peru with EXCEPTIONAL skill. Canada is very behind is Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (aka Pelvic Venous Insufficiency) a women’s pelvic disorder that cause cause discomfort and pain. During a laparoscopic excision for bladder and bowel endometriosis and total hysterectomy the Endometriosis Specialist Surgeon found a dilated vein to my right ovary in which he felt was conclusive with PCS. The gold standard for diagnosis is a Pelvic & Transvaginal Venous Duplex Ultrasound. In Canada they send you for a MRI that cannot see these pelvic veins reflux while lying flat. After an MRI showed nothing, he was able to see the congestion within seconds! It’s not easy finding a sonography’s that knows how to look for this issue properly- I thought I’d have to go Downtown TO to get this done. Juan took a thorough history, explained everything, listened, was kind and very professional. I am so very thankful for his expertise and won’t go anywhere else now that I’ve found Juan. If I could give 6 stars I would! He’s helped put an end to a long 8 month journey. The staff here was just as helpful and kind! Appointment was on time and the office and facilities was clean and presentable. I also like that I was able to email in my requisition and phones are always answered. Thank you Juan and Durham Medical Centre! I will be back. I do hope to see them connect with “Pocket Health” though as it’s much easier to manage, store and access imaging and records in one place and send to your different specialists as required.

I went here once for an ultrasound and the place is very new and clean. The receptionist is extremely friendly and helpful and the technician was polite and professional. The only downside is that the techs are all male from what I was told which would not have made me comfortable had it been a certain type of ultrasound.

Wonderful choice.Im glad i went here. Staff are very helpful and kind. They make you feel comfortable and appreciated.The clinic is newly renovated and very clean.Lots of sanitary supply available in the bathroom including lysol wipe and Kleenex which its not even provided in private hospitals! Best place in Durham to do ultrasound by far. The staff is friendly and very quick to respond to calls & emails, and our technician Juan was amazing. He explained what he was doing at every step, and also made us feel very welcome by asking if we wanted to take videos and pictures. Having been to other ultrasound clinics, this experience was much more welcoming and relaxed that I'm used to. Highly highly recommend coming here.

Best ultrasound clinic I have been to in Durham. Juan is amazing at his job and a very kind professional individual. I like that he takes the time to explain to the patient what he is doing. He always has a positive attitude and engages with his patients. The front office lady is super sweet as well and accomodates for patient’s scheduals. I do not have to wait forever to go in for an appointment which is great. Also when I go in they are always punctual and have everything ready before hand. I am so happy I discovered this place and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I don't know where all these 5 star reviews are coming from but this clinic is awful for ultrasounds. The only saving grace is the receptionist who is incredibly nice and pleasant. The tech I had for my ultrasound didn't do any of the things he was supposed to, he was way too fast and seemed like he had better things to do. His lack of care for my ultrasound resulted in me having to redo it at a different place. Now I know why the place was empty. I don't recommend going here for anything.
