Maliseet Trail
Almost 4 km in and out. I took my time looking at trees and birds and I was done in about 2 hrs. I am sure it can be done in a fraction of this time. But I like tontake my time.

Trail is well kept. Was wet after rains last night. Peaceful at Hays Falls - clearly marked for bottom or top. Rest of trail you can hear trans-Canada in the background. Falls were awesome. We did both top and bottom. Good parking. No facilities.

Nice hike... Not too strenuous... Beautiful tall falls with easy to follow trail both to the top and to the base. A really nice and open old growth forest to walk through. A bit muddy in places but that just adds to the excitement!

There are enough parking spaces. It's free. The trail is a total length of 3.22 km round trip. It took me 20 minutes to get to Hays Falls. There were a few obstacles along the way. Nice view of the falls and you can picnic there. Great trail!

Well traveled and marked trail. Two miles, out and back, worth very little elevation. Way cool waterfall at the end with a great picnic spot. Unfortunately we did see a lot of trash, as can be common for easier to access and use trails. Other than that, the area is lovely.

Hays Falls is my favorite waterfalls in the province. About a 25-30 minute hike on the Maliseet Trail and you are there. Just follow the colored bear signs.

The photos don’t do it justice but this hike and the falls are a great outing. Went to the top of the waterfall before looping back to the bottom of the falls and was glad to get both perspectives :) kids outnumbered adults and all seemed to be having a great time on the trail

An excellent trail to Hays Falls. We did the trail mid-April when the snow had started to melt but it was still snowy through the trees and trail. This did make it a bit more difficult to walk and slippery in places, especially downhill to the bottom of the falls, but it was a fairly straight forward walk following the trail markers.It’s about 4km to go in and back and took us around 2 hours, but that’s probably because we had a photoshoot by the waterfall for over half hour and had a sit down on the bench! :) It took around half an hour to get to the falls.Easy to get to and parking by side of the road. Would definitely go again!

Maliseet Trail
Great trail! Wouldn't recommend for those with mobility issues or those looking for a flat surface. Some rocky and slippery areas. This would be a nice place to spend an afternoon. It sits beside the hwy so it is noisy at the upper falls but not at the lower level. Parking is available in a small road side pull off.
