NOT recommended. He redid my transmission, did not stay to his quote. Tried to charge me $1200 more. And then lost* my skid plate. Avoid at all cost"

I have tried multiple auto shops in surrey and this is the best one as the owner there always helpful and honest. He gives the best advice and tell about what to do and what not to. Everytime I've visited there he has helped me with right and best option for my car. Recommend this shop to everyone.

Very unprofessional, he gave me my car and took off with my car keys (house keys were attached my mistake). I told him I’d meet him where ever he went but he claimed he’d be back in 10 mins after I kept insisting. Mind you I came back to the shop 1 minute after driving off after I realized he had my keys and he was gone. I *think* he went to copy my keys b/c he was being shady by asking me what floor I lived in (no mechanic ever asked me) or he went to copy my car keys b/c theirs a place around where you can copy them. I made a police report anyways. Avoid this shop honestly!!!

To be honest, Sam-I-Am Auto Repair is situated in a not-so-safe-looking neighborhood, but I would still recommend it as a resident of Surrey Central. I went there to fix one of my rear windows, and the repair took about an hour and a half. What surprised me was that Sam gave me a ride back to my condo so that I wouldn't have to roam around the area, and he personally brought my car to my condo after fixing it. I experienced unexpected kindness at Sam-I-Am Auto Repair that day. I highly recommend it for any urgent repair needs for your car.
