Nicely expanded beach. Very family friendly and safe. Very clean location. Birds hill park is a local treasure and I go there often for the beach and trails! Highly recommend this beach for family outings!

We suggest going to East beach if you want concessions and to be close to the bathrooms with little kids. Great evening just spent lazing and playing in the sand. There are 2 good playgrounds , and a shallow beach area great for toddlers and preschoolers.

First time doing the walk around the East beach. It is paved great for wheel chairs, baby strollers, roller blades, bikes and just plain walking! Remember bug spray and sun tan lotion!

Good place for Tan, swim. You can also cook BBQ. The water in June is quite a comfortable temperature for swimming, clean enough.

Honestly good food, pretty quick and not too expensive for a concession. Veggie burger was really good!

Great bike and hike trails. Washrooms on the beach are well cared and clean. However the washroom close to the firepits in the north was closed. I mean, it's fine to be closed but, on the long weekend, this could be planned ahead as there were no other washrooms close to that area where people gather together and lunch.
