I had a great experience moving with this company. Jack provided me an initial quote based on my belongings and it was very close to the final invoice ( as I missed to mention some of my items initially).My stuff was delivered on time as promised and it was in perfectly good condition. They wrapped the fragile stuff pretty well.Also, I would like to mention the guys who came to load the stuff were very helpful and professional.I would highly recommend themThanks

Overall my experience with Montreal Movers wasn't that bad, everyone was fairly easy to deal with along the way and for the most part my belongings arrived in one piece. I had to remove a few stars though because my furniture wasn't packed properly and was quite scratched and damaged during transit.I put in a lot of effort to pack all of my stuff properly, but was told that the furniture would be wrapped and packed by the movers. I even double checked with Jack beforehand if I needed to wrap my furniture in moving blankets etc. and he said that this would be taken care of for me.Perhaps part of this was because the movers were rushed due to my street being closed on moving day (beyond anyone's control), but I figured that even if they had to rush some of the packing it would be sorted at some point along the way.In the end, the coffee table my grandfather made, was scuffed and scratched all over. This piece was wrapped but in what seems like a super thin moving blanket that barely provided protection. Also a brass bed frame that has been in my family for a few decades showed up in Vancouver without any protection - was scratched and one of the brass rods was cracked/crushed. A few other pieces were also damaged.I sent Jack an email a few days after delivery to see how we could go ahead with resolving this and I didn't receive a reply. An added issue is that my belongings went into storage for a few months and I wasn't even aware of the full amount of damage until a few weeks ago.If you're packing everything yourself or professionally go ahead with Montreal Movers, but if you want to trust them with your bare furniture it's definitely going to be a gamble.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I hired Montreal Movers for our move from Southern California to Toronto in Oct 2022. We interacted with Jack who was responsive and accommodating. Although there are a lot of things that could go wrong with moving to another country, Jack and his colleagues performed their service so well so much so that the actual move of our household goods was the easiest part of our transition to Canada. First off, the estimate they provided was better than U-pack and PODS (which required you to haul your stuff into containers and hire help if you need). Montreal Movers was actually cheaper given they hauled, stored, and delivered our stuff door-to-door! Second, although they came to our place earlier than expected, they were kind enough to help us pack for no additional charge. There were four men and it took four hours (a lot less time than expected). Third, they told us they would get to the customs within 11 days and they did! My husband was able to accept our items at customs the day after his flight arrived. They delivered our stuff directly to our apartment unit. Now that we finished unpacking everything, I can honestly say nothing broke! I couldn’t believe it. I had local movers break furniture! I was amazed that Montreal Movers didn’t break any of our stuff during the transport and delivery. Lastly, they adjusted our invoice because our stuff ended up weighing less than expected, so we paid $700 less than the estimate. Amazing. In short, I would give this company 10 stars if possible and recommend them to anyone moving to Canada or back to the US. You won’t regret it!

Extremely professional and accommodating. I had a last minute move and Jack was so responsive and helpful. The move went smoothly, on time, and the whole team was hardworking and very kind while at it! I already am recommending Montreal movers to my friends and surroundings. Worth every dollar. We were using the services of this company to transport our things from Montreal to Vancouver. I tried my best to ask all possible questions that were of concerns to me prior scheduling the pick up.In the end, all went quite smoothly. We packed our stuff ourselves very carefully: disassemble furniture to a point and wrapped them into plastic, sort the rest into 50x50x50 boxes and carefully wrapped those ones as well, and the electronics in their native boxes (TV, monitors, etc.) So the pickup didn't take long (roughly 15-20min). Although there is a caveat that if you pack stuff yourselves, there is a limited liability on the side of the moving company, to counter that, you can ask them to pack it in your stead, and that way get more sensible responsibility. On top of everything you can opt for additional insurance in case of physical damages.The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the inability of tracking the progress of the move across country. In the end I had to write and call Jack several times to insure the partner company on BC side relay the information about the drop off to me, a week after they arrive to BC, they gave me a call out of the blue to schedule a drop off the next day. Not that convenient.Things arrived in fairly good condition though: all furniture and electronics were fine, couple of minor dents on some of the boxes, but since we only packed non-fragile things in them all ended well.As a summary, I can recommend this company. Don't be shy to ask all the questions beforehand and make sure you pack everything carefully, that way you should not have any issues.Although, I would be happy if guys invested into a tracking system. =)

I moved from Montreal to Boston and had a wonderful experience with Montreal Movers. Jack was very responsive in helping me set up everything and accommodated my requests when I delayed my flight to the US even after the furniture pickup. I was also impressed by the professionalism shown by the pickup crew. The three movers worked efficiently and passionately in helping us pack and wrap things with care. Although I had a few heavy and big items, they made the moving process seemed so effortlessly. I recommend their service.

I have moved many times and several times across borders. Montreal Movers exceeded my expectations with how careful they were transporting my things- even my IKEA furniture all made it intact! The movers at each end of the move were extremely courteous and careful with the packing. Highly recommend!
