Is this the same BDO that used to manage Emerge Canada funds that is currently CTOed? You guys let them siphon 5.5 million from investors and didn't say or do anything to stop them. Now the fund is far below nav and likely to liquidate. How are you guys still in business? It's your one job to audit and you can't even do that properly?

If I could give zero stars, I would have been a client of theirs for approximately eight years; each year, the customer service has become horrendous. They’re accountants; they’re not people -people, numbers, people. But if you can’t do customer service, pass it to someone else; the lady at the front desk is very lovely and helpful, but the accountants you deal with through email are so rude, so abrupt and not helpful. If you are looking for an accountant, this is not the place to look. I am planning on finding a new company, preferably a small company, not a big box company like the BDO; they must only want to help people who have loads of money.

Terrible customer service. Multiple major mistakes made on my family's tax returns, including: a keying error" that inflated my amount owed by several thousand dollars; knowingly sending me an incorrect return to sign; incorrectly reporting one of my securities in the wrong currency (even though it was clearly indicated as US dollars)

I HAVE BEEN BDO LLP'S CLIENT FOR YEARS AND QUIT GOING WHEN MY RELATIVE JOINED THE FIRM AS ACCOUNTANT.MY RELATIVE MENTIONED ME VERY BAD EMPLOYEE POLICIES AND REGULATIONS. WILL NOT SUGGEST ANYBODY TO WORK IN THE FIRM.
