The Palace Theatre

Nice venue. Doors don’t open at the time of your event so you will be waiting outside until they do. Balcony seating and standing room. If you’re on the side balcony the speaker is right there. For me it made the concert experience better but it does leave your ears ringing. Two “levels” of floor space. Didn’t access the bar, washroom or coat check so no comments there.

Good vibes for edm didn't know calgary had edm. It was fun, but not as fun as Asia or Europe, but fun for Calgary

Great venue!. Drinks are a little pricey but always has amazing talent coming through!

Although I've never gone here to socialize and drink, I have come here a few times for live shows. Sure the venue is small but for a metal show it's incredible. Size isn't everything in a good venue, and this place proves it, anytime a show is playing here is a ride. It's very close and personal and your time with the band(s) is always a good one.

Great venue that brings in a wide variety of artists! Feels intimate while actually being decent sized. Located on Stephen Ave with a handful of parking Lots close by if you are driving while also being central and easily accessible by transit and Uber/Cab.

This is a great venue! The set up is one of my favorites for live music.I always hope that my favorite bands are playing here!

Unbelievable venue with an intimate feeling. After walking through the lineup and getting checked in for the Block Heater Folk Festival event, you enter a foyer/hallway which at one end leads to the downstairs coat check and washroom. There are 2 sets of stairs leading to the upper atrium overlooking the event floor and stage. Before you reach the event floor, you will pass through a room which contains a handful of booths with a bar set in the center and a risen platform overlooking the floor. The floor has stand up tables and a dance floor, with many more bar stations located nearby which helps prevent major lineups and waits. With all these features in mind there is one thing that is amazing, which is their service. Those that facilitate events such as Block Heater were amazing at keeping the crowds hydrated and dance floors clear of debris. Hands down one of my most favorite places to listen to musicians. You need to visit this place!

This place and it’s staff are incredible! My girlfriend and I drove to Calgary for the Silverstein concert, and she requires a walker at this time. The staff were extremely accommodating! One of them came out to where everyone was lined up before the show and plucked us out of the line and brought us up front for easier/safer access. Once inside they brought us to a roped off area which gave my girlfriend a sense of security. The staff had their hands full with the crowd but still managed to treat us pleasantly. Not to mention the view of the show was unlike anything we could have imagined. Thank you for being so accommodating!

Great music venue, I love the lighting and layout of the place. Staff has always been super friendly. Basement area gets very cramped with the coat check and washrooms, so best to plan ahead to beat the crowd down there. I wish they would add some craft beer to the drink lineup. I find the audio production of the venue can be hit or miss at times, but regardless I always look forward to shows at The Palace. Check it out!
