The toilets are fine, clean and well maintained but the fact they close (and so early) is a pain... planning to use them after walking from the lighthouse, only to have to go back there again isn't great!

Closed at 7:15, although the park is still open, and nearby restaurants are open for take-out. Public washrooms are supposed to be open now. This is absurd.

These public toilets are conveniently located right beside the Nova Scotia Provincial (Peggy's Cove) Visitor Information Centre. There's separate male and female toilets and they're clean and there's plenty of nearby parking. Because the whole area is mainly granite and thus impossible for septic use, the toilets use the self-composting and environmentally friendly Clivus Multrum composting toilet systems. There are also toilets in the Sou’Wester Restaurant & Gift Shop.
