My son has been attending this dojo for the past 1.5 years and our experience with Sensei Kwong is fantastic. He knows every kid's name, and genuinely cares about each student that enters his dojo. My son started when he was 5; he was unfocused, didn't listen well, yet had a lot of energy! With Sensei Kwong's guidance, care and discipline, my son has progressed to his red belt. He is a totally different kid because Sensei Kwong has been able to help my son channel his energy to be more confident, less clumsy, more attentive and focused. He has so much fun and really looks up to Sensei Kwong. I really appreciate the time and care Sensei Kwong has poured in to my son and I look forward to a long lasting student/teacher relationship between the two of them. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who needs an activity for their child!

Sensei Kwong is the master of his craft. Unlike some other karate schools that have a varied rotation of junior teachers, Sensei Kwong is the primary and only teacher. His attention to each kid and years of experience serve him well in understanding how to bring out the best of my two boys who have started at 5/6 and been there for several years already. His Karate knowledge is amazing as well as other multiple martial arts disciplines. Best of all my kids are enjoying themselves and learning a life skill. I would definitely recommend Superkids Markham with Sensei Kwong in a heartbeat.

My daughter started training with Sensei Kwong since she was 7 and she loves every single moment and made nice friends. All parents and students are polite and nice, they learn not only moves but how to be a respectful person, how to be confident and how to persevere. We will be a student here forever until we get a black belt! We need more true martial artist like sensei kwong who teaches not only the principles but the ways to behave

About two years ago we set out to find our sons a good martial art teacher, we visited a number of dojos and we chose Superkids because of Sensei Kwong. He's a 7th Dan Black Belt in karate, and he's represented Canada twice in World Karate Championship. What's impressive about Sensei Kwong is that he teaches every class himself which means that my kids are getting the best training possible. Having done fair bit of research I believe he's the most qualified Sensei of all the dojos we've visited. We really like the fact that Sensei Kwong can and will work with individuals at their own level and pace. If he sees your potential he would push you a little harder like a good coach would do, if he sees you falling behind in some area he'd pull you aside to work with you. You have to really love teaching kids to be doing this everyday for almost 30 years. He's tough when he has to be but he has a big heart; in the two years of training, I see him bringing the best out of my sons. I can tell they are really inspired and they really look forward to each and every class. The kind of confidence, love and discipline Sensei Kwong foster in them will last a life time.

Sensei Kwong never takes a day off! His dedication and patience with his students is phenomenal. He is the only Sensei and does not have or need any junior trainers to teach his group of students. Students from white belt to black belt, he personally knows them well, not only their name and also their character and personality. He encourages the students and able to move them forward to work on their level. Sensei understands kids have different commitments and I just love the flexibility that he provides us to choose our own schedule. If anyone is looking for a karate dojo, Superkids is the one! Sensei Kwong is an amazing teacher!

A great dojo for anyone looking to start in the martial arts. I began my instruction with Sensei Kwong back in the late 90's before I moved down to the US and continued training.I now own my own dojo down in New York and couldn't have asked for a better start to my martial arts experience. I strive to model my own dojo after the experiences I had there.

Past, present and future. Sensei Kwong has been my son's teacher in the past and welcomed him back recently again after a long break. Sensei shows patience, passion and caring of each of his students. He's fantastic and full of energy. It's amazing to watch each student progress. The dojo has a place for parents to sit and watch. It's comfortable. I highly recommend Superkids Karate. Always. In our family we value Sensei's lessons in and out of the dojo.

I trained at Superkids from around 6 years old to when I was 16. Now that I am 22 and have had continued martial arts since, I am updating my review to reflect how fundamental and formative my training at Superkids has been and encourage others to train under Sensei Kwong Yong.As is mentioned on their website, despite being a Karate school Sensei Kwong Yong's extensive martial arts background means that really this is a mixed martial arts school and a very excellent one at that. One day you could be focusing on the art form and timing that is Kata and another you could be bobbing and weaving to build your head movement for boxing. Another day you'll be doing swing/roundhouse kicks that'd fit in at any Muay Thai gym and then adding some Taekwondo flair by incorporating some jumping and spinning. Some of my favorite lessons were the takedown and ground work lessons teaching BJJ fundamentals like shrimping and scissor sweeps. Kali Escrima and bo staff are also offered to higher level students.I eventually grew out of Superkids and wished to more specifically pursue Muay Thai/Kickboxing somewhere with heavier sparring. Now I'm no amateur fighter but my transition to my new gyms and the degree to which I have able to perform techniques to the satisfaction of my new instrutors is only a testament to how rock solid the fundamentals given to me by Sensei have been.Even now as I venture into Brazilian Ju Jitsu the techniques of foward and backward shoulder rolling, takedowns, and shrimping I learned at Superkids have allowed me to jump right in and train with confidence and accelerated progression. For younger kids who want an introduction to martial arts or older students who don't know exactly what martial art they would like to do, Superkids is unique in it's ability to offer instruction on such a wide range of styles that build such strong fundamentals. You would be extremely hard pressed to find another school with such a range of instruction that is of such legitimate quality and with an eviroment as welcoming and ego free as Superkids. For those parents worried about their shy kids there is no better testament to the patience of Sensi and his ability to natural get kids to come out of their shell than myself. When I first started I would refuse to take of my socks and would sit in the corner refusing to participate, tears in my eyes as I was overwhelmed by such a new experience. I don't think there are many other environments and instructors where 10 years later I would have a black belt around my waist and a lifelong passion for martial arts

Sensei Kwong is an amazing person and an excellent teacher! Our son joined Karate a year ago and he loves it. We are seeing a difference in his personality surely - a little more confident!Sensei Kwong is natural when it comes to kids. He knows all of his students by name. He shares his own experience and real incidents in the class to get the kids going and makes the class more interesting. He laughs with the kids when talking about his sensei and his class routine but at the same time, he keeps his class in routine and in discipline. We look forward to seeing the newsletter every month because the writing on the newsletter about the superkid of the month is extraordinary - he adds a personal touch to it.We definitely recommend the school!

I started training here in 2003 when I was 5 years old, went all the up from white belt to black belt and stopped when I went off to University about 10 years later. Sensei has taught me so much that I probably don't even realize, but I'm certain he has made me a better person. Will you learn martial arts? Of course, but you will learn so much more. Sensei is a modern martial artist that embodies the famous quote by Bruce Lee, “Absorb what is useful, discard what is useless and add what is specifically your own.I will never be a professional cage fighter
