I moved to Burlington in 2020 and had the daunting task of trying to find a new vet for my beloved Chihuahua in the midst of the pandemic. Luckily, I found VCA Burlington in 2021 and am so happy that I did. I take my dog to see Dr. Max and he has been nothing short of wonderful. He is very patient, thorough, caring and invested in the care of our dog. I never feel rushed or judged, and he is a true partner when it comes to making the best health decisions for our little Chi, who we love dearly. Dr. Max provides the information and guidance but respects and supports whatever decision we, as pet owners, feel is best for our dog and family.Furthermore, my Chi needed to have a high-risk, extensive (and very expensive) dental extraction surgery last year, and I could not have asked for better care and support through it all. Dr. Max spent much time walking me through all the details and options, and was honest and managed my expectations with compassion and understanding. I was referred to Mississauga Oakville Emergency Hospital as my Chi needed specialist attention for the best chance at a successful surgery, and I could not have asked for a better experience. And, through it all, Dr. Max was in constant communication with me, checking on Hazel and ensuring proper follow up post surgery.I have also been very impressed with and have appreciated Dr. Max's time and care when it comes to finding the proper food and feeding regime for my Chi. He has been very patient and thorough, reviewing ingredients, nutritional and calorie content. As a whole, the supporting staff at this clinic has been wonderful as well. Everyone has been very friendly, kind and attentive. My Chi, family and I have been very happy with the service and care that we've received here and definitely recommend it to other pet parents in the area. Thank you Dr. Max and team from our family and, of course, Hazel (woof, woof!)!

Four weeks ago we made the very difficult decision to have our precious dog, Jesse, put down. He was a big boy, almost 13 years old and the old back legs just did not want to work anymore. He was not able to do all the things he loved to do. We decided to have him put to sleep at home in the living room where he loved to spend so much of his day. His place always needed to be near the front door and the big living room window and it was only fitting that he left this world as peacefully as possible in a place where he felt safe. I can only say from the doctors, to the assisting staff to the front desk staff, everybody was nothing but caring, helpful and compassionate. When we made the decision, we requested it be done that same day and they even went so far as to reschedule appointments for us so that it could be done at the end of the day and our daughter could get home to see him. We stayed with him and comforted him while he left this world and the doctor and staff explained the whole process as it went along and gave us as much time as we needed. I would like to say thank you to every single member of the Burlington Animal Hospital. You helped us through a very difficult time and for that we will be forever grateful. Thank you.

I had Dr Justin Guay look after my cat. He was amazing, treated him like it was his own pet. Extremely organized staff and very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone, with any budget. Dr Guay was beyond helpful trying to help me manage what I could afford. Thank you for helping my cat.

We recently had to say goodbye to a much loved member of our family and doctor Bassindale was exceptional. She was very caring, compassionate and accommodating (quick action was needed). She was willing and able to juggle other appointments to be able to serve our pressing need. The support staff were also very caring and professional. In our time of need, VCA staff were the only bright spot during a very difficult and heartbreaking experience. A big thank you to you Dr.Bassindale, the VCA support staff and thank you to your other client for being understanding and flexible with their schedule.

Amazing and compassionate staff. We went in this morning with our cat and received a very sad diagnosis. They showed compassion and understanding and gave us the time we needed to make our decision and explained the process throughly. Our needs and our cats needs were there priority.

We have been clients for almost two years. Every single vet (we've seen mostly Dr. Max and Dt. Bassindale) and all the other staff are amazing; kind, caring, supportive and do their best to get us in when needed. Our pup (and his parents) are very appreciative. We highly recommend them....you'll never be disappointed.

So I took my puppy Ada to this animal hospital and was very pleased with the service I received. In the beginning there was a little bit of miscommunication about the appointment being virtual/phone only and not an in person visit. However this was corrected greatly with amazing customer service from the vet technicians and the veterinarian. The veterinarian talked with me multiple times for hours answering all my questions and provided me with information in order to help my puppy get the best care possible. Would recommend!

Ok so my Dog and I have been going to VCA as our regular vet for about 3 years, and honestly the vets, technicians and reception are all nice and friendly. However if you need to get in to see the vet you better believe that most of the time you are waiting at lest two weeks, which is a problem especially if your dog needs antibiotics or something right away. My dog had these weird skin bumps and when I tried to get her in to get checked out, I had to wait so long to get her seen by the Vet that the skin bumps healed up completely by the time of the appointment, and the vet at the time said to me “oh she might have needed antibiotics, but looks like she’s ok now” and that cost me over $100, anyway, so I thought you know Maybe it’s my fault, I couldn’t take a day off work to get her seen earlier. Then I had an issue with her eye it was all swollen and I called to see if they could see her within a day or two and they literally did not have any space for a long time, I ended up taking her somewhere else. so again she has this weird bump on her back paw and needs her tick/worm meds, so I thought I would hit two birds so to speak, and see the vet about her paw at the same time, unfortunately I couldn’t get in to see the Vet for two weeks! Because they had nothing available unless I take a day off work! And the bump on her foot is getting bigger, at this point I’m not sure what I should do? It’s been a week already so I’m thinking I might as well wait, but I think I’m going to need a more flexible vet clinic in the future. My dog isn’t in any pain, so I’m not too concerned it’s just the wait times are ridiculous.

Dr. Max and the whole staff are the best.Had to put my little creature down suddenly and they handled it so well and made me feel so comfortable despite me being a giant emotional mess. You guys were so great. Thanks for making something so difficult as easy as it possibly could have been.

I’ve been bringing my dogs to this clinic for 12 years and have always been happy until today when they have let me and my old girl down miserably, she is in discomfort, has diarrhea with blood in it and all I get is our system is down, we’re fully booked, we can’t slot you in at the end of the day, they use to be accommodating and helpful now it just feels like they want your money as long as it’s on there terms. I will be using a different vet and definitely not a VCA one!
