I came to this restaurant to try it out. I really enjoyed their version of butter chicken. The naan bread was excellent. The samosa with yogurt and veggies was tasty in a good way. The desert was a nice finish too. I will be a repeat customer... Customer service - very important was excellent!

First time I heard about Deccan Spice and was interested to try it out. They specialize in South Indian cuisine. The atmosphere was fresh and we were promptly greeted by friendly staff. We had a medium group size and were able to share a number of appetizers such as the onion dosa, Gobi Manchurian, Vada and Onion Pakora. Of these I found the Vada to be my favourite with the Sambar. Deccan Spice offers a good variety of Curries and Biryanis at a good value" price...although they were out of lamb the day we were there :)I would definitely recommend Deccan Spice. It is located on the site of the old Thai Kitchen"

Went here for the first time last night and it was like a flavour party for my taste buds. It tastes even better today for lunch! We didn't want our food to end. The service was polite, friendly and prompt. The portions sizes were great (as we left stuffed and still had enough for a small lunch the next day). Our food came out in a timely manner (as timely as you would expect at a sit down restaurant). Will definitely be back again to try other dishes on the menu!

TOO LESS QUANTITY FOR A PRICE !!!!!! Didn't like food. Ordered on phone with an update in order. Was given old order saying that item is not available yet.Sambar is the same portion as chutney!??? Definitely not an enough quantity of sambhar. Ordered mysore masala dosa but was given just a masala dosa. Can't believe a dosa with just a pudi for 11.99?? It should be either for less price or with large quantity.

Amazing! My first time trying south Indian food and it was amazing. The staff is great, asked if it was my first time trying South Indian food and when I said yes they took the time to explain the most popular dishes and what certain dishes consisted of. They did this as a short introduction, and not in a condescending way. The Dosa was amazing. They warned that it may be spicy, and made each dish according to the spice level you chose. I did not find it spicy, as I usually eat quite spicy at home, but i did find each dish very flavourful and the portion sizes quite generous. The wait staff asked me how my meal was through out dinner, and it was evident they really care about customer feedback. They had asked me if i found it too spicy and when i mentioned that i did not find it spicy they thanked me for my feedback and said that they were still working out a good spice level, and it genuinely seemed like they cared for the feedback.They were really great, i would highly recommend. Amazing food for a good price and great customer service.

After arriving in Canada, I want a taste of home dosa and sambar. When I arrived in Thunder Bay for business, one of my friends recommended I try here. I placed my order online and received my meal promptly. I am pleased with the flavor of the dosa after a severe food desire. If you really want to sample Indian cuisine, then give it a try. I strongly suggest them and would definitely return if I revisit Thunder Bay.

Would never recommend this place at all. Terrible and expensive food and small portions. With Dosa they say they give sambar and chutney but they gave me dal curry instead. When i asked server told me it's a special kind of sambar. Keep in mind that its $10 for a Dosa. I asked for idli and they said they don't have the ingredients anymore but still advertise about that.

One of the good Indian restaurants in Thunder Bay Ontario. Most of the Indian foods are available in the restaurant. Most of the food are tasty and spicy.The environment and interior of the restaurant is very attractive and good.The music and ambience will make us feel India inside the restaurant.The only thing I noticed to be not good is more salt in some of the dish.The price of the food is reasonable and can enjoy most of the food items with good rate.
